We had four debutants today with two of them starting and the manager we went out to make this game hard for bombers and I think especially the first we where very successful with this, the GK and the back four were very strong and communicated incredibly well. Gilmour was called into action several times but every time he was there keeping us in the game πͺ eventually after 20 minutes they get a corner into the box that seemed like it bounced off everyone but eventually falling to a bombers player to get a lucky goal. A few minutes later and with a bit more luck they managed to get a second, with 15 minutes left of the half we tightened things up a little and eventually started getting a few moments of our own to create something but unfortunately we couldn't grab anything.
Half Time 0-2
With a couple of changes to allow for breathers we go back out for the fight, we spent a good period soaking up some pressure and being able to play ourselves up the pitch but we couldn't get enough players forward to create enough danger in the final 3rd. Eventually after a bit of sustained pressure bombers find the net again, the rest of the game became a big dog fight and I would believe very enjoyable to watch from the sidelines. Bombers eventually managed to grab a couple more goals but the team didn't make it easy for them to get.
Man of The Match
Ben Gilmour
Some massive saves out there today keeping that scoreline down and helping everyone to keep fighting πͺπͺ
That has to be the best attitude we have held in a game all season apart from one person at the end π€¦ every single person that stepped onto that pitch today worked tirelessly for eachother and but maximum effort in and for that I can't thank you all enough π
With three league games left if we can match today's efforts and attitudes for those remaining games maybe we can end the season in a better manner πͺπͺπβ€οΈπβ€οΈ
