I've had a busy few days out in person talking to people and collecting signatures, including at Barham Village Fete on Saturday. The campaign now has over 500 validated signatures!

Personal conversation are the slow-and-steady approach, but the consistent message that I'm hearing is that our young people need access to local, free and good quality facilities.

Please sign the petition to help us get a pump track built in Canterbury.

What an amazing pump track! This one is in Queensland, Australia. It's an incredible example of what a pump track done well can look like.

Thanks to Barham Primary who allowed Oliver (9yo) to tell his fellow pupils about pump tracks at school assembly this week, and how they and their families can support the campaign to get one built locally. Fliers will be going home in book bags early next week with links to sign the petition.

I’m looking for contacts with other local schools to do similar. Let me know if you would be keen to help promote the campaign.

Oliver spent a few hours at a pump track last week, and went back to Revolution indoor skatepark today. He’s been struggling with pumping in a half pipe for months, and it finally came together for him today. Timing, coordination, balance and power.

We need good quality public facilities closer to Canterbury, so people young and old can develop their skills.

Help Canterbury get a pump track - sign the petition to local council.

Oliver and I took a trip to Camden on Saturday to check on their newly opened pump track. It's tiny, but a lovely ride. There was a steady stream of people using it all day, from bikes, to skateboards, to tiny kids on scooters. A good pump track session is an amazing cardio workout - my legs were jelly after a couple of hours.
