A great match in the Autumn sunshine for our South Wales Pan-Disability League debut at Llanrhystud. Thank you to MHFW Phoenix for travelling up from Swansea. HYROX Birmingham is here! (Finally)

The UK season begins today! Many of you will have spent months training hard for this.

Special shout-out to all my clients taking part over the coming days. You have all smashed it recently. As a coach this is the most rewarding part of my job I would say and makes me very proud.

Seeing you all achieve great things with the biggest smiles and showcase all your hard work. To see the confidence and the belief that you can achieve anything you put your mind too is incredible.

So wishing every single one of you racing this weekend, what ever fitness community or gym your from good luck and give it your best shot!

As always most importantly, have some fun and enjoy, it will be over before you know it and you will on to the next 🤣

Mental health awareness day 2025 🧠

A topic very close to my heart and not something I talk toomuch about here. But I shared this post 5 years ago on my personal account about my experience. If I can say anything, always talk to someone.

So Louise has been going through some old photos tonight and sent me this. In all honesty, I hate this picture. Everyone close to me at this time knew I was really struggling and I could never understand why I felt so low. I always felt like I should have been happy, but it just felt like nothing in my life was good enough.

Louise did everything to try and cheer me up, my in laws gave me my first car so I could at least get about, I had no responsibilities and the only bill I paid for was my phone, my family made all the effort to see me when they could and speak to me every day.

But being honest about my mental health was NEVER something I could do. I put on weight, I didn’t care about how I looked, I didn’t want to meet new people, I didn’t want to spend time with my friends, and I would always tell people I was “fine”. I would find every excuse under the sun to justify my bad mood, or lack of motivation. In reality I was just sinking. I wish I could go back and tell myself to open up about what was really going on in my head. I was depressed.

Now years on from this picture and it’s all different. If I’m having a bad day, I talk. If I’m having a good day, I talk. I have an incredible support network and I don’t take a single person in my life for granted.

Bit deep but I saw the picture and wanted to share it. My advice to anyone going through a similar thing would be to speak to someone. It’s definitely not easy, but it can make a huge difference.
