Another exercise I commonly see being performed incorrectly...

➡️ TRICEP PUSHDOWNS

The most common mistake ⬇️

1️⃣ Flaring the elbows out - The moment that the elbows lose control and move out of position, the tension will be shifted from the triceps and towards the chest and shoulders.

With proper form and regular practice, tricep pushdowns can tone the Triceps (muscles on the back of your arms) and increase stabilization around your shoulder joint.

TIPS 👇🏼

Depending on the bar/rope/cable attachment you are using, your grip may vary.

▪️With the straight bar, use an overhand grip.

▪️Stand with chest up and shoulders back. The
elbows should be slightly in front of the body, by your sides.

▪️Keep knees slightly bent and core tight.

▪️Push down, extend the elbows so that they straighten, slightly rotate the elbows out at the end.

🔥 5 MONTHS PROGRESS UPDATE 🔥

Progress isn't something that client's always see, they tend to see themselves from the same angles.

As a Personal Trainer I can see my client's from every angle. I LOVE seeing Progress, often before they do themselves.

It can be very disheartening when your working out and you feel like you're not making any progress. This is why on the days you don't feel like you're making progress and you want to give up, or not train, you have to keep going‼️

DISCIPLINE IS THE BRIDGE BETWEEN YOUR GOALS AND YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS.

And Lara is the perfect example of this today👏🏼👏🏼

I've been working with just over 5 month's now, the first three months I trained her from home. She's overcome a lot of her fears 🙌🏽 I'm SO PROUD of her progress!

PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD

By changing up your workouts and adding additional tension to your muscles, you can avoid plateauing, which is when your body adapts to the type of exercise you’re doing. With progressive overload, you will get stronger and fitter...if done correctly! 💪🏽

‼️ IT MUST BE DONE GRADUALLY ‼️

If you are recovering from an injury or just want to keep the weights light, try going for higher repetitions.

By Going For Higher Reps You Will:

Training isn't an over night miracle. You have good days when it all clicks, feels effortless and great and days when you don't want to train, you are tired and struggling.

The key to success isn't what you do when you feel great. Its whether you show up and try your best on your hardest days.
