💛It’s our wedding anniversary this week and we protect this celebration as time for just us. 💛We revisit where we got married and reconnect as a couple. 💛I love traditions 🥺 I see so very clearly now how dominant alcohol was in our anniversary. 💛The moment we’d get here we’d open the ch*****ne because that’s what real celebration involves right? That’s what treating yourself looks like? That’s what indulgence and opulence and extravagance is and you deserve that right? 😔How it actually looked was the first glass felt exciting and celebratory as it’s in a nice glass and we’re together in our special place. We’re stopping to breathe and be present. No distractions. 🥺The reality… as I pour the 3rd glass chasing the initial feeling.. I am no longer fully present…. I am opening the next bottle… I think that this bottle holds the key to the perfect anniversary!!!! 🌤️The real key is me being authentically me, sometimes quite, an active listener, a hopeless romantic 🌤️I see that we can keep the tradition but change the contents of the glass (no glass needed in .hip.pop case!) 🌤️alcohol Free anniversaries are beautiful. 🌤️We actually get more time as we are up early hangover free, our chats are deeper and flow from day to day. 🌤️What is in our glass, can, mug does not make our anniversary special it’s us being really us, imperfectly human 🌤️💛 🌤️💛
