We are an on-call station which means our firefighters work on an on call basis. We are very committed to the community as we could have to respond to a 999 emergency whilst we are at our full time jobs, in the shower or eating dinner. We have one Scania fire appliance but we also crew the High Volume Pump and Hose Layer along with our colleagues from Gamlingay. This is a specialist vehicle that h

as 3km of hose and can pump up to 7000 litres of water per minute. When we are not attending emergencies, we like to attend community events to speak to the general public and answer any queries. We keep our skills and knowledge fully up to date by training once a week and attending refresher courses.-
