A flurry of early wickets for the CCC bowlers proved to be the difference as the U13 Chiefs triumphed at Elstead last night.

With 8 wickets falling for less than 30 runs, the Chiefs were well on top before a 50+ 9th wicket stand saw the hosts move towards a respectable total. Wickets for Barney (3), Chanketh (2), Hugh (2), Sahib, Finn and Harry reduced Elstead to 82 all out.

Despite a few wickets falling in reply, a fine knock from Kayshan (30*) saw the Camberley boys home with overs and time to spare. Well done lads!

Our U12 Capybaras grabbed a big win at home Monday evening v. Fernhurst with their highest ever score of 191 after 20 overs. Matthew and Barney both retiring on 30 not out and skipper Elliot taking a quick fire 23 were the highlights but there were runs all the way down the innings with all batters reaching the boundary at least once! Wickets from William, Jacob, Casper, Elliot, Hazza and Barney and excellent fielding all round bought home a 129 run victory by dismissing the visitors in just over 13 overs. 💚💛🏏

U10 Leopards 🏏 What a game!

A brilliant all-round team performance saw us edge out Woking by just 9 runs in a thrilling match.

After choosing to bowl first, the boys kept Woking under pressure throughout with some excellent bowling and fielding. Arthur picked up two wickets, Stanley claimed two wickets in a fantastic over that turned the game in our favour, and there were wickets for Henry, Jack and Will. Jacob also made an immediate impact on debut with two excellent catches.

Chasing 278, the boys batted with real intent. Jack produced a stunning display of power hitting, smashing 27 runs from just 15 balls, while Henry and Yousef kept the scoreboard moving with some big shots of their own. Jacob and Gabriel then batted sensibly to put us ahead before Stanley and Yousef calmly saw the team home under pressure.

Special mentions to Jacob for two brilliant catches, Jack, Henry and Yousef for their batting, and Jack and Arthur for some excellent work behind the stumps.

⭐ Player of the Match: Stanley – for his two wickets in an over and his composed batting to help secure the win.

Our U9 Lions also played today and it was an amazing effort by everyone! It was like a dejavu moment with similar scorecard and similar awesome performances to last weekend against the same opposition, Valley End.

Aarav started off with the ball and took 3 wickets in his second over and almost took a hat trick. Will, Jonathan, Fajr and Louis all bowled really well and the team fielded brilliantly too as we got at least 3 runouts. Special mention to Sohan and Maryan for really improving their bowling performance.

Brilliant effort to restrict Valley End again to 246.
In batting Will and Aarav started off steadily with Will hitting an amazing six, but then Maryam, partnering with Louis, smashed 4 fours in an over to take us above their score at the second pairing. Fajr and Sohan kept things steady but then Finn and our master blaster Jonathan blasted fours and sixes everywhere to get our scores to 296, almost exact replica of last week!

Jonathan and Maryam got MOM for their brilliant effort with bat and ball.

Well done guys!! Another dominant win!

Today our U9 Tigers played Normandy and what a great morning it was!

Squad manager Claire says, ‘I’m so proud of every player today, a fantastic all round performance. The training has really paid off as our bowling was more consistent, giving away very few wides and no balls. We took 7 wickets in total which was also incredible and the team celebrated each one with well deserved high fives 🙌’ - brilliant stuff Tigers 🐯

They took the win with a score of 312 to Normandy’s 243. Incredible team performance.
