📢 SESSION UPDATES – HEAT ADJUSTMENTS 📢

Quick update on this week’s sessions.

Wednesday:
✅ 18:00 – ON
✅ 19:00 – ON

Thursday:
✅ 06:00 – ON
✅ 07:00 – ON

❌ Thursday 12:00, 18:00 & 19:00 – CANCELLED

Friday: Back to normal – all sessions on

Saturday: Big one – Super Saturday 8:00am

☀️ A NOTE ON PREPARING FOR THE HEAT

If you’re training in this weather, preparation is key:

✅ Hydrate well before your session – start drinking water 1-2 hours before you arrive

✅ Consider electrolytes – you’re losing more than just water when you sweat

✅ Arrive ready – don’t rely on the gym to catch you up on fluids

✅ Listen to your body – if you feel dizzy or nauseous, take a break

✅ Book in advance – sessions are filling up fast

We want you training hard AND training safe. If you were booked onto any of the cancelled sessions, your credits will be returned to your account.

Sophie came back to us after having her fourth baby. Nervous. Busy life. Unsure if she’d fit training in.

🔥 HOT WEATHER TRAINING – STAY SMART, STAY SAFE 🔥

Training in this heat is no joke. Your body is working hard to cool itself down, and that means you need to adapt your training and hydration strategy.

Sessions will be adapted to the heat – we’ll adjust intensity, increase rest periods, and make sure everyone stays safe while still getting a great session in.

Here’s how you can help yourself:

Start Hydrating Early: Don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink. Begin sipping water 1-2 hours before your session and keep drinking consistently throughout.
Prioritise Electrolytes: When you sweat, you lose more than just water. You lose essential salts like sodium and potassium that your muscles and nerves need to function properly. Consider adding an electrolyte tablet or powder to your water, especially if you’re sweating a lot.
Don’t Rely on Thirst Alone: By the time you feel thirsty, you’re already on your way to being dehydrated. Check your urine colour—it should be the colour of light lemonade. If it’s darker, you need to drink more.
Know the Warning Signs: Stop, rest, and cool down if you feel dizzy, nauseous, or get a headache. These are early signs of heat exhaustion.
Modify Your Intensity: It’s okay to dial it back on a really hot day. Use longer rest periods between sets and focus on consistency, not setting PBs.
Your health comes first.
