We got our midweek Rhymney Valley season going weds with a last bowl win in a closely fought game against the west end wildcats 👏👏

But full attention now turns to our attempt of following last seasons run to winning division 7 🏆, by setting our 👀 on division 6.... we welcome Llantwit Major Bowls Club to MJP as we kick start the saturday campaign.

And it begins, First game of the season is upon us, we get up and running against a very good Cardiff side, they put on a great afternoon for us last year so we are looking forward to hosting them up MJP tomorrow. Theres a few first starts tomorrow with a couple of great summer additions, Craig, Gavin, Jayden, Jonah and Kodi , welcome to Caerphilly Town Bowling Club and go well for the season boys 💙💛. Morgan Jones Park has consisted upto now of 3 completely seperate bowls teams, The Ladies, Caerphilly Social and Caerphilly town.

This season there has been a merge , forced upon us in some ways with the council signing over the green and pavillion as part of a community asset transfer CAT. Although none of us thought this was going to happen and a few might be anxious as to how this will unfold, its something a few senior members of each of the clubs have embraced, pulling together a way all 50 members can continue using the facilities , not just short term where we fade away with more clubs folding, but by building the foundations, through sustainable methods, that will keep the club in good shape for years to come.

We will be posting, Fixtures , Results , team news and sponsorship opportunities, along with a few open days over the year where you can come and give it a go... but you haven't got to wait for that, pop along if you see any of our members bowling, sit down on the benches surrounding the green and enjoy a drink and chat. It could be a move you wish you had made sooner.
