Reducing Isolation with Food - RIF

Following on from the successful Festive Food project we ran with
Bury St Edmunds Town Council in December 2020 Abbeycroft Leisure are teaming up with West Suffolk College and Bury St Edmunds Rickshaw to provide delivery of heat at home meals to individuals living in Bury St Edmunds who are alone and isolated.

We hope that our monthly deliveries will not only provide healthy and nutritious meals provided by the catering department at the college, but also some welcome social contact from the fabulous Bury St Edmunds Rickshaw volunteers!

Our first delivery will be made on Friday April 30th, and referrals can be made for anyone living alone in the IP32 and IP33 postcodes. If you know of anyone that lives alone and without a local support network, please email us:

To help sustain the project we are looking to raise funds through our crowdfunding page. Donations of any size are welcome, and we are continually adding to the rewards we have on offer.
