Ahead of Saturday’s home game to Heybridge Swifts, have a read of the Chairman’s Notes.

Today we welcome Heybridge Swifts to the Theatre of Dreams, also known as the Riverside Stadium. I have revived the TOD reference as we have had another wonderful night of non league football, last Tuesday with a brilliant 3-2 victory over play off challengers Waltham Abbey. We rested skipper Jake Chambers Shaw, who is walking the 9 caution tightrope, as well as the resurgent Ben Nolan, but that didnt matter as Ryan Sharman scored a stunning hat trick for the Hall. Every player was on top of their game, Jordan Chipps, Ben Bradley, Jonny Herd, Tassell as well as the duracell bunny that is Jordan Nicholson..This is a seriously good team so it is just a shame that the future is under threat due partially to the lack of support through the gate.
For one reason or other, we are approximately 20% down on attendances this season, which is making it very difficult to maintain the current level of football, let alone push on upwards.
Those of you that come to the majority of games, thank you, you really are the backbone of this club. The Ultras are providing a great atmosphere with their vociferous support. Whats not to like, a great team, a fine stadium, a great family of supporters, everything that is good about this level of football. Phil Weavers is a terrific manager, who true to his word, has brought together a terrific footballing side. I dont know how hes done it, but he has.

We work very hard behind the scenes to bring high level football to Mildenhall. We have a terrific youth section headed up by Trevor Bennett and Claire Darkins. That is going well, despite the very high costs of providing playing facilities. They have a terrific team of volunteer coaches and helpers, all pulling together.

We have 17 games left, so lets get behind the team, the dream and push us to the top half of the table..

Thank you all for your support. This a real football, for the real people.

Come on the Hall.

Bill Flynn
Chairman.

My message is that this whole Mildenhall Football family needs as much support as possible. Get your freinds, family, dogs and cats out there.
