We are running sessions across the summer for juniors. Thursday night Turn up and play is for the Under 12s and under 14s ( year 6+) and beginners sessions for all ages on Saturday mornings.

Bury’s under 14s and under 12s were in action this weekend representing Suffolk in the County Cup competition.

Huge well done to Imogen, Hattie, Lilly, Issy and Antonia who helped Suffolk become County Champions!!!

Also Well done to Millie, Jasmine and Sienna for their excellent efforts in the plate competition.

Huge well done to the u14 girls who came second in the Tier2 finals today. They put in a great performance winning 5-0 against Hertford and losing out to Peterborough in the final 3-1. They have worked hard all season and have come along way. Well Done to everyone:

The Under 10s were in action today competing in the In2hockey tournament. Well done to the boys who came 2nd and are through to regionals. The girls worked really hard but narrowly missed out this time.

Sunday 8th Feb we had a fantastic day welcoming Ipswich HC, Felixstowe HC, and Sudbury HC for a friendly round-robin tournament. About 80 kids played, and it was a big success!

Another fun weekend of youth hockey for the club . This time the under 12s were in action playing in mixed teams against teams across Suffolk. We’ve had lots of new players join this season so this friendly tournament helps them to gain match experience and build confidence. Well done to everyone playing today.

Thanks to Simon for organising and all coaches and volunteers for supporting the event.

The Under 14 girls had another successful away match winning 6-0 against Bishop Stortford. Great goals from Antonia, Jasmine, Hattie and Emma. The whole team put in an impressive performance with some powerful attacking runs up the wings, super defending from the backs and acrobatic saves from Imogen in goal. Well done girls!

Another great weekend for our Under 14 girls who secured a 4-0 win against Upminster. It was a strong performance from everyone with great linked up play. Well done to Antonia, Jasmine, Hattie and Emilia our goal scorers.

BSE M1s 3-1 City of Peterborough M2s

In Bury’s last home game before the Christmas break, they hosted an improving Peterborough side that threatened to cause some problems. The opening exchanges were even, but it was Bury’s organisation in defence and speed on the counterattack that led to them taking the lead through Aiden Griggs. Bury were pushed back after that as Peterborough established a foothold in the game, with Henry Wallace making some exceptional saves. Bury were able to extend their lead after James King finished off a slick penalty corner routine, and the sides went into the break at 2-0.

The second half became more frantic but Bury held their nerve and controlled the game well, with Ollie Croot putting in an energetic midfield display. Another excellent James King penalty corner saw Bury go 3-0 up with 15 minutes to go. Peterborough managed to get a goal back, but Bury regained control of the game and saw out the win to take their points tally to 17 for the first half of the season. Next week they face March Town, where a win could take them as high as 3rd place.
