𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗥’𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦🗣️
“Down the final game of the 25/26 season.
We knew from the start Hilton were coming all guns blazing as they needed the win or draw for promotion and we were the ones in their
way.
Missing a few players Stapenhill came out with a reduced squad, but the team did not disappoint.
For the whole of the first half chances came at both ends with a couple of good chances coming Hilton’s way but we held them to 0-0 by half time.
The second half saw Hilton step up the tempo which the ladies matched and battled well, creating chances. However, in the 83rd minute Hilton scored. Ending in a 0-1 defeat to a team that beat us 7-1 in the first game of the season. This showed the improvement and togetherness of the team.
The game brought the end of the season securing a well earned 5th place.
On a final note, I’m so proud of this group of ladies who have never given up, battled and learned how to play as a team. They will be a team to watch going forward…” - Manager, Nick Oliver
