Another trip to Netherfield Food Bank yesterday with more donations from Burton Joyce which took our total haul since last November to over 1,800 kgs. Two metric tonnes is the next target

I started BABC after seeing I, Daniel Blake last October a fantastic film by Ken Loach. It made me so mad that I took my first ever donation to my local food bank and within a week I had donated to 3 more. I couldn't keep going at that rate so I invited my neighbours to join in and food starting arriving on my doorstep and now once a week we deliver bags of food to Netherfield Food Bank. Total to date 1,800 kgs of which 1,026 kgs were donated at our BRING A BAG CABARET concert held in the Burton Joyce Village Hall on 12th March where we entertained 140 people to a selection of songs written by me and my great friend Dave Machell. We were joined by 2 great singers Sarah-Jane and Jane. It's gone viral!!!
