Summer Solstice ☀️✨

The longest day of the year and a reminder that even after the darkest seasons, the light always returns.

Today I’m feeling grateful for how far I’ve come, the people I love, the lessons I’ve learned and the dreams I’m still creating.

Sometimes life doesn’t happen on our timeline, but I’ve learned that what is meant for us won’t pass us by.

So today I’m choosing gratitude, trust and a little bit of magic. ✨

Here’s to new chapters, big dreams and believing that life can always get even better. 💛

Father’s Day can bring up lots of different emotions for different people.

For some it’s a day of celebration.

For others it may be a reminder of loss, grief, distance, change or relationships that aren’t what they hoped they would be.

One thing I’ve learnt is that family doesn’t always look the way we imagined.

Sometimes it’s blended.
Sometimes it’s rebuilt.
Sometimes it’s found in unexpected places.

What matters most isn’t the title someone holds.

It’s whether they show up.

The people who love, support, encourage and choose to be present in the everyday moments.

Today I’m grateful for the people who show up.

And I’m also thinking of those who are missing someone they love, navigating complicated relationships, or finding today a little harder than most. 🤍

Whatever Father’s Day means to you, I hope you are gentle with yourself today.

Boston found one of my old Beauty Business CFO business cards this morning. 🐶

It made me smile because that business was such a huge part of my journey.

Sometimes we can be so focused on where we’re trying to get to that we forget how far we’ve already come.

The Beauty Business CFO led me to coaching.

Coaching led me to sharing my story.

And sharing my story has connected me with some incredible people.

Every chapter serves a purpose, even if it isn’t the final destination.

(Boston’s contribution to this reflection was mainly stealing the card and refusing to give it back. 🤣🐾❤️)

A few years ago, I wouldn’t have recognised this version of me.

Not because of how I look.

Because of how I feel.

I’ve learnt that peace is more important than proving a point.
That boundaries aren’t rude.
That starting over doesn’t mean you’ve failed.
And that life doesn’t magically get easier… but you do get stronger.

If you’re reading this and wondering whether it’s too late to make a change, start again, or become the person you want to be…

It isn’t.

I’m 43 and I still feel like I’m just getting started. 🤍
