⛳️ CHEAT DRILL ⛳️

Here we have Matt who has been on The Performance Program for a number of years and has continued to develop. He started as a 115 shooter and now regularly shoots in the high 70’s and low 80’s.

Here we are addressing his putting and used a squishy ball courtesy of to help him pivot, get his arms more connected to his body in order to stabilise the club face.

Consider using this drill if you have poor posture and are too active with your arms and hands when putting.

⛳️ Squad Session Prep & Insights ⛳️

I am looking forward to welcoming 9 players from my Performance Program in tonight’s squad session.

Each and every player has an individualised personal plan that we work on to help them achieve their golfing ambitions. However I can honestly say delivering these monthly squad sessions is one of the best things I get to do each and every month, and let me tell you why…

🚨 NO MORE SLICES 🚨

CANT HIT HALF SHOTS….?

I’ve had so many discussions over the years of 100 shooters struggling to play those 40-80yd shots that require them to play a half shot. More often than not in ends in disaster with poor strikes and the inability to find the green consistently.

Most of the time players have the wrong concept and how they think they should be controlling their distance is very different to how they should be!

If you’re a high handicapper or recreational golfer, you’re very likely to be hitting a low number of greens in regulation and a byproduct of that is the need to hit lots of shots from 40-80 yards.

Naturally this places a high level of pressure and importance on this area of the game and if you lack confidence, it’s a recipe for disaster!

Always think inside the box and shift set up to get a better result. These shots are tough, so make sure to add some awkward lies into your next practice session!

WHICH SHOT ARE YOU PLAYING?

Here’s a green side chip shot from the same location to the same target….but played in two very different ways.

Too often, higher handicap golfers are guilty of being one dimensional and having just one club that they chip with. However, great players have multiple shot types in and around the green which to enables them to choose the best shot in a variety of situations!
