We’ve all done it…

As soon as unexplained symptom arrises we head straight to Dr Google

We hope we’ll find a simple answer, putting our mind at ease, when in fact you get the complete opposite 😅

So you would have been better off going to your doctor!

The same goes for online calorie calculators

You think it’ll be a quick & cheap option to solving your fat loss goals

When in reality in a few weeks time you end up more confused than when you started 😕

You see these calorie calculators are great at giving you a rough estimate of how many calories you need per day, but it is a rough estimate from the little information you give it

They don’t take into account things like:
- how many steps you do per day
- how much muscle mass you have
- your sleep quality
- your stress levels
- your current diet

All of these things & more will determine how many calories you need to lose or gain weight!

So save yourself some time & invest in a fitness professional who WILL take all of these things into account & educate you on how to eat for your body, lifestyle & goals

When client T came to me back in November she felt like many people do

Like she wanted to make a change, was working hard but not seeing any results. Which lead her to feel disheartened

I mean if you were putting the work in with no reward then you would as well!

But we worked on this ONE thing which has been a complete game changer for her

CONSISTENCY!

The truth is progress that’s time!

When T didn’t see the results she was hoping for in a week or 2 she’d give up, and press the F*CK IT! button

Leading to a vicious binge & restrict cycle

Fast forward to now she’s eating more calories on a diet than ever before, not feeling hungry at all which means she is able to stay consistent over the long term

The yo-yo cycle is gone, meaning she feels so much more confident in herself & her abilities

“I’ve had such a bad weekend, back on the diet tomorrow” 😔

Have you ever said this?

Or maybe you’re thinking it right now!

This is such a common mindset to have. I find many women come to me with the “all or nothing” mindset. Either trying to be completely perfect with their exercise & nutrition or being “off” their diet all together

But this could be what’s stopping you achieving your health & fitness goals long term!

For example if you’re looking to lose fat you may be eating in a calorie deficit all week. But when it comes to the weekends those drinks with the girls Friday night, that takeaway Saturday infront of gladiators & that Sunday roast all add up!

So over the week you’re probably eating in a calorie surplus which will mean you’ll be gaining weight

One of the main things I work on with my clients is navigating things like weekend social occasions, takeaways & other events involving food which might get in the way of their goals.

Once they break this “all or nothing” thinking & learn to enjoy the odd meal out without pressing the F*CK IT button that’s when they start to see the changes they’ve always wanted!

A great example of this is my client T

She came to me stuck in a yo-yo diet cycle

She ate “healthy” during the week then when the weekend came she’d go overboard & eat for the sake of it as she knew she’d be back on the diet come Monday

We’ve been working together 5 months now & her mindset around food has completely changed!

Because of this she’s now 10lbs down & feeling fitter & stronger than ever!

And most importantly she can enjoy a spontaneous meal out without guilt or it derailing her whole week!

You’re not different! (It’s a good thing, hear me out 😆)

I hear so many people say “that’s amazing but I wouldn’t be able to achieve that”

Why not?!

The only difference between my clients above & you is that they took the leap to investing in themselves & didn’t let factors in their lives get in the way

So many people wait for the “right time” to start something

When the kids are back at school

When work has quietened down

When you don’t have any social occasions

But if you wait for these times you’ll be waiting forever!

Let my clients be proof that you CAN have a busy career, kids, illness, menopause…. and still reach whatever goal it is you have

It’s my job to help you navigate these things & fit a healthy exercise routine & nutrition into your life, not the other way round!

You DO have to be extreme to get in shape! 😮

But not in the way you think…

Many people think you need to⤵️
- eat extremely low calories
- do extreme amounts of cardio
- push themselves extremely hard in workouts

But in reality you don’t!

But what you do need to do is be extremely consistent

This is what my client T has done

She has missed workouts

She hasn’t done crazy amounts of cardio

She doesn’t eat low calories each day

But what she has done is be consistent (not perfect!) over a long period of time

And she’s now down 10lbs since November, & feeling fitter, stronger & more confident 👏🏻

You feel like you don’t have anything good to report & feel like you’ve let your coach down

Believe me when I say the only “bad” check is the one you don’t do!

It’s not a coincidence that it’s the clients who always check in & give as much information as possible are the ones reaching their long term goals

A good coach will never judge you & only wants to help you reach your goals, but you have to help us to help you

Is something I hear a lot

Yet those same people are watching my Instagram stories… I see you 👀

Instead of scrolling watching that 100th funny cat video, why not use that 5 minutes to plan your food for the week

All it takes is 5 minutes on a Sunday evening to roughly plan your meals for the next few days

Making your nutrition for the week so much less stressful & you’ll go to bed feeling ready to smash this week

As much as I love a cat video I’d say that’s a much better use of your time!

If I had a pound for every time someone has said this to me 💰

You think that cutting out cake, chocolate, wine… whatever your favourite food is = the body of your dreams

Because as soon as you open that packet of digestives (other brands of biscuits are available) suddenly the whole packet has miraculously disappeared 🍪

But the truth is this food is always going to be around

Your colleagues are always going to bring donuts in on a Friday 🍩

Your Nan will always get the custard creams out when you come over

Dominoes will always text you with a cheeky “two for Tuesdays” 🍕

You can’t go through life avoiding these situations or trying to cut out your favourite foods

What you DO need is to stop thinking you need a strict diet of only “healthy” food to achieve your dream body

My coaching focuses on helping clients navigate drinks with the girls, the odd takeaway & biscuits with your nan without guilt & still reaching your goals!

Do you feel lost with what to do in the gym?!

Client A felt like this just months ago & it’s such a common struggle

I mean who knows what to do with anything when we first start?!

But we all learn as we go!

With client A who is part of The Last Diet Club I advised her to start with the basics

She is a busy mum who doesn’t have hours to spend in the gym or preparing meals

So she started with home workouts she could do in 30 minutes learning the basic movements

And with her nutrition fitting quick, easy but nutritious food into her busy day

Over the last few months she has progressed so much & she is now hip thrusting 60kg & doing pull ups!

Amazing work A 👏🏻

She feels so much more confident in her body as well as feeling fitter, stronger & healthier 😍
