Trainer or Behaviourist?

Canine professionals provide all sorts of services and come at all prices.
The behaviourist's role is to understand why your dog is doing things you find challenging or negative and then create strategies to put your dog into a calmer and more positive mental state. Behaviour experts are worth calling in for serious problems and, like doctors, it's also sometimes worth getting a second opinion. Behaviourists are university trained and their charges reflect that. Expect to pay from a little under £100 per hour up to over £300 per hour for a top veterinary qualified behaviourist. This can sometimes, but not always, be covered by pet insurance.
Trainers, by comparison, offer practical advice and solutions to everyday problems. They don't claim to address deep seated mental issues but can offer help with ensuring your dog is a good citizen and good member of your family.
Trainers are considerably cheaper than behaviourists!
You can discuss your problems with me without obligation. If I think I can help my initial visit is just £30 (plus travel expenses if outside of 10 miles from Bude).
