Sleep in neurodivergent population

Autism and Dreaming - fewer nightmares and dreams due to decreased REM sleep.

ADHD and Dreaming - more frequent and vivid dreams due to increased brain activity even during sleep.

Nutrition is important - avoid stimulants, consider food sensitivities or allergies. Magnesium and B vitamins are know to enhance sleep quality.

Emotional regulation is a skill and skills take time to grow.
When you learn to regulate your emotions, the world opens again. School gates become manageable. Conversations feel lighter. Things feel less threatening. Children begin to trust themselves more.
