A HUGE THANK YOU! 👏

Buckie Rovers Football Club were delighted to receive a generous donation of £250 from Lodge Gordon's 589 - Buckie, as part of their 150th anniversary celebrations.

To mark this special milestone, the Lodge donated £250 to four local worthy organisations, with Buckie Rovers fortunate enough to be selected alongside Buckie Ladies FD, The Teddy Bear Support Group and The Buckie Christmas Kracker.

Last night, Buckie Rovers Chairman Francie Simpson and Club Secretary Natasha Soutar were presented with the cheque by The Right Worshipful Master Paul Brady and Lodge Treasurer Alan West.

This donation is a massive boost for a club like ours. Buckie Rovers rely on having to constantly fundraise and the generosity of others to support the running of the club, with funds going towards vital costs such as transport to away games, training equipment and many other expenses throughout the season.

Support like this makes a real difference and helps us continue to move the club forward both on and off the park.

We are extremely grateful to Lodge Gordon’s 589, Buckie, for thinking of our football club and for their very kind donation. We cannot thank them enough for their support.

Congratulations on reaching your 150th anniversary, and thank you once again! 👏

League business continues this weekend with Aberdeenshire side Cruden Bay the visitors to Merson Park, the first encounter between the sides in a very long time!

Saturday's visitors are fresh off the back of their first victory of the season last weekend over Forres Thistle and will be looking to continue on that trajectory this weekend while we go into Saturday looking to continue our current unbeaten run that we are on.

Momentum is high at the moment after some solid performances on the road and we need to start making ground back up on the teams at the top end of the table with us having games in hand over them all.

Cruden Bay are showing this season that they are a young side constantly improving so we will need to be at our best if we are to come away from this game with a positive result.

With Buckie Thistle Football Club in action on Friday this week, it would be great to see Jags fans over to Merson Park supporting their other local team on their free Saturday🤝

We would love to see a big crowd come through the Merson Park gates this weekend to support the team as we get set to tackle a huge November, your support is always massively appreciated by us all.

Full Time Result:

Glentanar Juniors FC 0 Buckie Rovers 0

🧤Clean Sheet: Ryan Brindle

MOTM: Ryan Brindle

A good point earned on the road today against a top side, a game where both sides had chances to win, certainly an entertaining 0-0!

Many contenders for MOTM today but Ryan Brindle just pipped it with an outstanding save onto the post to keep the score level late on. Credit to Ryan's backline of Blair Robertson, Declan Clark, Mathew Henderson & Bodhi Tewnion on playing their part in keeping the clean sheet💪

We move onto Cruden Bay Juniors FC at home next week, details to follow.

IT’S MATCH DAY!

🆚 Glentanar Juniors FC
🏟️ Woodside Sports Complex
🏆 NOSFL Championship
📆 Saturday 31st October
⏰ 2pm

Another away day and bus trip for the lads as we make the trip through to Aberdeen to face high-flying Glentanar.

The hosts sit 2nd in the table, having played 3 more games than us, and are having a great season so far. They have been scoring lots of goals along the way and are coming into this afternoon's fixture with real momentum after back-to-back wins and clean sheets.

This is going to be an incredibly tough challenge and one we are going to need to really be up for if we are to leave Aberdeen with anything from the game this afternoon.

The lads will be looking to put last weekend's match abandonment disappointment firmly out of sight, with us looking to start climbing our way back up the table towards the leading pack in the league, with today's opponents being one of them.

We hope to see a good crowd through to support the lads in Aberdeen. You all braved the horrendous weather to support the lads last weekend and it was greatly appreciated by every single person involved with the club, so a strong away following come 2pm today at Woodside Sports Complex would also be greatly appreciated.

The spooky cover star Ronnie Vine takes centre stage on today’s poster as we get into the Halloween spirit! 🎃

Ahead of the upcoming refurbishment at No.10 Butchers, we were delighted to present Steven Nicol with a framed Buckie Rovers Away Top (which is kindly sponsored by No.10 Butchers) as a small token of our appreciation for everything he has done for our football club.

Steve plays a huge role in supporting Buckie Rovers as one of our main sponsors and is always willing to help out in whatever way he can, whether that’s providing support behind the scenes, lending a hand, donating raffle prizes, sponsoring games, contributing to busses or making the effort to attend games and get behind the boys.

His commitment to the club is clear for everyone to see, and he’s even making the trip through to Aberdeen with us tomorrow as we take on Glentanar, which says it all about the support he gives us.

Ross Fiske and Scott Riddoch were on hand to present Steve with the framed top outside the shop earlier this afternoon.

It’s a small gesture, but one that comes with a massive amount of appreciation. We’re extremely grateful to have Steve and the team at No.10 Butchers backing Buckie Rovers.

We're looking forward to seeing the framed shirt hanging up on display in Buckie's best butcher shop🤝

Thank you again for everything! 👏

HE’S BACK! ✍️

Buckie Rovers Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Nikki Smith!

An experienced striker who certainly knows where the goals are, Nikki returns to Buckie Rovers following previous prolific spells at the club pre-abeyance, where he played a huge part in helping the club win numerous trophies at this level.

Alongside his successful periods at Buckie Rovers, Nikki enjoyed time in the Highland League with Lossiemouth FC, as well as a spell with our neighbours, Buckie Thistle.

Having netted the winner as a trialist in our home victory against Sunnybank in September, Nikki is determined to add plenty more goals as we try to continue our strong start to our first season back in the North of Scotland Football League.

He has looked sharp since coming in for pre-season, and there’s no doubt that his experience, quality and goalscoring ability will make him a massive part of our squad between now and the end of the season.

Nikki is available to sponsor for the season for just £20. There is no limit on the number of sponsors Nikki can have, simply just message the page if you wish to sponsor him.

Welcome back to the Rovers, Nikki!🤝

After the events of the last 24 hours, the club has came to the difficult decision to postpone Saturday's Quiz Night.

This is the last thing we wanted to do but we need to think of those involved and hope for a positive outcome, we look forward to hosting a bigger and better night in the New Year for a rescheduled quiz night.

We can't apologise enough and thank you all for your cooperation as we navigate this difficult time together as a Football Club.
