⚽️ Player of the Week ⚽️
🌟 4-7’s: Pretti
Something we massively encourage at WeMakeFootballers is understanding that it’s okay to make mistakes. Nobody is judged for losing a game, missing a shot, or playing an inaccurate pass — it’s all about learning and having fun!
When Pretti first joined us, she used to get very upset when things didn’t go right, but this week nothing fazed her. She kept going, played with a huge smile on her face, and showed some brilliant ball mastery skills throughout. Amazing progress, Pretti! 👏
🌟 4-7’s: Alfie
Alfie did exceptionally well this week in the drills and multi-ball sessions, continuing to improve his skills week after week. We are loving seeing Alfie’s development recently — always dribbling with his head up and really taking on the coaches’ advice. Great work, Alfie, you’re on a fantastic path! 👏⚽️
🌟 8-12’s: Dami
Dami always sets high standards every week, but this week he took it to another level! He scored 6 goals in our 5v5 match, including a mix of powerful long-range strikes and brilliant solo goals where he dribbled past 2 or 3 defenders before finishing calmly himself. On top of that, he was also a fantastic team player all session long. Outstanding work, Dami! 🔥
🌟 8-12’s: Lewis
Lewis has been with our Porthcawl class since opening and has always shown noticeable talent. However, this week it wasn’t his footwork or dribbling that impressed us most — it was his hard work and footballing IQ during the 5v5 games.
Our coaches gave each team tactical plans to work on, and Lewis understood his role brilliantly. He showed excellent work rate, strong man-marking, and wasn’t afraid to track his player all over the pitch. Modern football isn’t just about talent — hard work is just as important, and Lewis showed exactly that this week. Brilliant effort, Lew!
