Took the girls to Fame Factory at Excel. If you want to feel like a celebrity (highs and lows) this is definitely an experience. Girls loved it and want to go back!

Definitely worth a go, a free day out through London.

London will be filled with more than 100 decorated large-scale eggs from 24 March to 27 April.

Money has been super tight this half term so this is what we did
1. We invited cousins over for dinner and a sleepover costing no more than normal
2. We walked to the local shopping centre and got Starbucks and pastries from M&S.
3. We went to Battersea Power Station. There's a free Disney Lion King exhibition and free kids activities. The light trail however was a bit naff! I got a free coffee at Nero through my Octopus app!
4. I made use of my Boundless membership and took the girls to the Tower of London. This time I got a £1 coffee from Nero through my 3+ app. Both days I got free babycinos for the girls.
I took pack lunch both days, and bought sweet treats only spending less than £10.00 each day.
5. Tomorrow we're baking before my girls disappear to their Dads. If you're a civil servant here's a link for Boundless

Enlightened at Colchester Castle. It wasn't expensive and had plenty of child friendly light activities. Making a wish, changing thd directions of strobe lights, stepping lights and holographic elves and fairies. This was an excellent trail. Extremely cold and a bit gusty but worth it. It was £10 an adult and £5 a child. Worth every penny. Plenty of toilets and it was so good, I'd think about visiting the Castle on a normal day.

Each year it gets bigger. Although still a muddy affair. But where else can you buy pumpkins and shoot them out of a canon? Hay bale maze, a Maize Maze, spooky circus, face painting, marshmallow toasting, plenty of photo opportunities. They now offer a night time visits for your older kids and a bar! Why not?

Such a glorious day for a glorious palace. The Haunted Palace experience is a must. The Maze and Magic Gardens are great for children. Another free trip for the Boundless membership (civil servants)!

Mummy I forgot how fun it is here, thank you for bringing us! Now a year ago it was £6 to park all day, I turn up at 1pm and the car park was pretty empty. The car park is now £10.00 which is a whopping increase. That's not the only thing that's increased, costs of hot drinks and ice creams all increased in price. It's obviously too much of increase for some. It's a shame as parks should be free and you shouldn't penalise those who want to use them. It's still a relatively low cost day, we decided 3 hours would do, but that's less money for the cafe etc!
