The Buccaneers Walking Football

Airbus Buccaneers over 60’s played in their 1st competition at the weekend. They travelled to Colwyn Bay & took part in the Winter Cup. There were 12 teams from North Wales taking part.
Managed fantastically by Greg Ward & Chris Williams, the guys finished 2nd in their group of 6 & then 4th overall in the play-off game. A fantastic 1st competitive outing, with great spirit & performances from everyone in the squad. All playing & making their own contributions.

Airbus Buccaneers ✈️🏴‍☠️ are playing their festive Charity Football Match this morning, 11-30 to 12-30 hrs @ The Hollingsworth Stadium, Airbus, Broughton. Thanks to those who have already supported our fundraising for Christie’s Charity & those attending today. All welcome.!

Our over 70’s team (aka Victor Meldrews Boys.!) took on Prestatyn over 70’s today in a friendly fixture.
Some great football played & in a very good spirit from both teams.
A good day for Airbus too, with 3 sessions played.

A reminder we train twice a week & encourage new players to come along & join in / give walking football a go.

First outing today for Airbus Buccaneers over 50’s development squad.
Played at Airbus, Broughton, against Buckley.
An entertaining & very competitive games that finished 1-1.
Andy Harding scoring for Airbus & James Edwards grabbing the equalising goal for Buckley in the last few minutes.
Some nice football played with a competitive edge by two very good teams.
MOTM went to Ant Martin with a top performance in Airbus goal, with some great saves throughout the game.
Our over 50's have a great team, with an in depth squad to rotate through and we will continue to develop & build on in the coming months.
Well done & thanks to Iain Ellis (our ref today )who kept the game moving and talking to the players.

This morning, our over 70s Airbus Buccaneers welcomed Coedpoeth over 70’s for a 3 x game session at The Hollingsworth Stadium, Broughton.

The game was played in a great spirit with good football played by both sides.

Airbus 1 Coedpoeth 0 (scorer Iain Ellis)
