If you've ever thought now is the time to try bowls, well now is definitely the time. This Saturday May 2nd South Hills Wood is hosting an open day for would-be bowlers. Come along between 10 am and noon to meet a friendly bunch, give bowling a go and meet the coaches who can take your game to a different level. If you can't make this week there'll be another open session the following Saturday May 9th.

The excitement is building as it is now less than a week to the opening drive at South Hill Wood Bowling Club on Saturday April 18th. With the sun shining and temperatures warming South Hill Wood bowlers are looking forward to a great season of bowls. The opening drive is just a few weeks away on April 18th starting at 2pm. For anyone interested in trying their hand at bowls come along to one of two open days on May 2nd or May 9th between 10 and noon. You will find a friendly welcome and coaching available.

OPEN MORNING 3rd MAY 10am
If you have ever thought about trying your hand at bowls, please come along to South Hill Wood Bowling Club on Saturday 3rd May from 10am. Prospective members will have a chance to try their hand at bowling with one of our qualified coaches. We just ask that you turn up wearing comfortable clothes and flat soled shoes.
We are one of the most popular bowls clubs in Bromley, our green being in an attractive park off Tootswood Road. Through out the summer the green is available for playing every day with a programme to suit all ages and abilities. We also have a varied programme of social events through out the year.

We are looking forward to the start of a new season for 2024. The club will open on Saturday 20th April. Here's hoping we have an enjoyable season.
Anyone interested in bowls is welcome to come and watch members play. We will have an Open Morning on the 4th May where new prospective members will given a chance to try their hand at bowling if for the first time. All we ask is that people wear flat soled shoes to play on the green.
We are a very friendly club and always keen to meet people interested in joining, whether they are experienced players or totally new to the game.

Now the 2023 season has ended there are a couple of dates members need to be aware of. Saturday 18th November is the AGM 10.30 sharp, at the club house.
Saturday 2nd December Christmas Special ( Dinner and Entertainment) to be held at Park Langley Tennis Club at 7pm.

As the 2022 Season Approaches here are a couple of important dates:
24th April The Club Opens with a Sunday Roll Up at 2.30pm
Saturday 14th MAY We have an OPEN MORNING welcoming possible new members at 10am. Anyone wishing to come and try should turn up a little before 10am and wear flat soled shoes.

Just a quick update, we are now returning to normal with our play. Playing matches with other clubs and North West Kent matches. We could just do with some better weather.
Now looking forward to returning to Our social evenings from the 6th August. We are also planning our awards lunch for the 30th October and hoping to have a Christmas Dinner on the 4th December, using the entertainer we had in 2019, where everyone had a great evening and enjoyed letting their hair down.

We have an Open Morning planned for 15th May. Between 10 and 12 am. Any one interested in having a try at bowls should arrive just before 10am and wear flat soled shoes and a face mask whilst being coached. Let's hope we have a nice sunny morning.
