We're incredibly proud to congratulate three of our Barnwood U8 Girls on successfully earning places with the Inspire RTC programme!

This is a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved reward for all of the hard work, commitment and determination they showed throughout last season. Their attitude, willingness to learn and dedication at training and on matchdays have really paid off.

Everyone at Barnwood is absolutely delighted for them, and we can't wait to see them continue to develop while representing both Inspire RTC and Barnwood with pride.

Congratulations girls - you've earned this opportunity, and we know you'll give it your all. We are all so proud of you!

Our captain is up next! ⚽

Sharney Thomson… she may be small, but she’s mighty! 💪 Our resident vegan has recently been enjoying a few eggs, so technically she’s now a vEGGan. 🥚🌱

She always brings a smile, a positive attitude, and an incredible work ethic to every football event. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone more dedicated and committed to the team.

She’s embraced the captain’s role and absolutely flourished. She’s not afraid to tell a teammate to “f*** off” every now and then… or have the occasional debate with the manager! 😂 Nothing a bit of team bonding can’t fix.

Known to get Soppy when drunk 🥴

Sharney is an absolute joy to have in the squad and someone we simply wouldn’t want to be without.

Lightning quick on the left wing, Kyla loves to bomb down the pitch, using her pace and skill to weave past defenders. She's never afraid to put in a strong tackle and somehow always seems to end up on the floor! Her hard work has paid off this season, with six goals to her name 👏🏻

Off the pitch, Kyla is the team's dancing diva who always keeps everyone laughing. She's also known for dramatically throwing herself to the ground to rescue worms! 🪱

Somehow, she still manages to look effortlessly fabulous after 90 minutes of football, earning her the well-deserved title of the player with the best hair on the team

Our youngest – but one of our tallest – players is up next! ⚽

Amelie stepped up into the ladies' team from our pan-disability pathway as soon as she was old enough, joining us halfway through the season. She has taken the step into adult football in her stride and has quickly become a key member of the squad.

On the pitch, Amelie works incredibly hard, making crucial runs, putting in important tackles, and showing real strength and confidence on the ball. She makes a genuine difference every time she plays.

Off the pitch, her enthusiasm for football is second to none. Whether it's joining in with the men for an indoor game, having a kickabout, or travelling to watch a women’s game, Amelie is always the first to put herself forward. We can always count on her. ⚽🫶🏻

Watching her confidence grow with every game has been a pleasure, and we're excited to see how she continues to develop. The future is bright for Amelie! ♥️

Our first pre-season friendly is in the bag, and what a game it was! ⚽️ 🦉

The women went out there and worked tirelessly for each other from the first whistle to the last. We had outstanding performances right across the pitch, from goalkeeper to striker. It was also great to see some new faces, along with players who spent most of last season training with us, proudly pulling on the shirt 🦉. A special mention as well to our new management team, who got off to a fantastic start.

A really positive beginning to our pre-season, and we're excited to see what this team can achieve in the months ahead! 💪

Player of the Match 🏆
This was a tough decision, with six players receiving votes, which just shows what an incredible all-round team performance it was.

A huge congratulations to Chelsea, who deservedly was voted the Player of the Match. Her relentless work rate, dangerous runs and quality crosses going forward, combined with tracking back to support the defence, really stood out. To top it all off, she scored the winning goal! 👏🏻⚽️

Well done, Chelsea, and well done to the whole team on a fantastic start to pre-season! 🦉

💫 Player Profile 💫

We've made it out of defence and are flying down the left wing with a player who can run through the opposition.

When Alisha first joined us, she seemed quite quiet but it didn't take long for her football to do the talking. Watching her take on player after player, power down the wing, and score goals with seemingly nothing able to stop her, we quickly realised we'd found the strength our team needed.

She never backs out of a tackle and has treated us to the odd acrobatic display along the way! Her determination, fearlessness, and work rate make her a key player for the team, and it's been an absolute pleasure to watch her grow in confidence throughout the season.

To top it all off, Alisha was deservedly voted Players' Player of the Season, a reflection of the respect and admiration she has earned from her teammates.

The only thing brighter than her performances this season? Her tan! We're still not entirely convinced it's natural... but one thing's for sure, whether she's flying down the wing or turning up looking like she's just got back from holiday, Alisha certainly knows how to stand out!

Pre-season is here, and our first games are in the books! ⚽💪🏻

We kick things off this weekend with a friendly against Winchcombe Town Ladies, and we're excited to get back out on the pitch.

The squad has been training hard over the summer, and we can't wait to see some of our new faces pulling on the shirt for the first time.

Congratulations and good luck to all the Grassroots Awards nominees! 👏🏻

We’ve got everything crossed for our very own Dave Price, who has been nominated for the New Volunteer of the Year award! 🏆

Since the early days of our women’s team, Dave has been an incredible coach and a passionate advocate for making football inclusive for all women. He has placed a huge emphasis on helping women who have never played the game before to develop their confidence, skills, and love for football.

His dedication, encouragement, and commitment have played a huge part in strengthening the team throughout the season, both on and off the pitch.

A thoroughly deserved nomination 👏🏻
