We receive messages regarding rowing on Roadford Lake, but please note, Roadford Lake Rowing Club is not a Gig club. We are as in pics - sliding seat. Great to receive interested rowers and have a great number of competent rowers to teach everyone.
We are West of England Amateur Rowing and British Rowing Affiliated. A fully formed club.

Whilst we launched just after Covid and in a very rural area, this lake/reservoir, is the largest in the South West, we can row up to 2km without stopping!
Ok, a long distance for some, it does not mean you need to row that distance!
We are club with different abilities. Each to their own.
Just an opportunity to row and have fun.

Whilst we enjoy our part of West Devon and enjoy our boats and venue, we would improve the club with new members - rowing or otherwise!
Full Adult Membership is £240 per annum with discounts for same address members and offer monthly payments.
We are fully affiliated to West of England Amateur Rowing Association as well as British Rowing.
The club has boats for Fours, Doubles and Singles.
Whilst that means members can row competitively, we have a good group of recreational rowers too!

Hello West Devon and East Cornwall folks. We are a grass roots sports club with our roots in both Cornwall and Devon.
We launched after Covid and are ever looking to expand our membership.

Well, 2026 is upon us and the weather has started sort of ok!?
We are a fine river boat club which means turbulent conditions can mean cancellation of rowing! 🤦🏻‍♂️
However, we have a number of coastal all weather boats to use too!
Better to row than not!?
Please do drop us a message if you are interested in rowing (not Gig) and we can discuss options.
Rowing is a great way to keep fit. You can row with two of you in a boat or more.
