It’s that time again…not to learn how to give birth…your body already knows how to do that..but to learn how to manage any pesky, negative thoughts, that will only serve to complicate your baby’s birth.

It all comes down to being informed about the birthing body and what it’s capable of doing and learning some relaxation techniques, that will massively change your perception of birth and help your mind and body remain as calm as possible.

As the icing on the cake, your birth partner will learn exactly why they should believe in you and your birthing capabilities and gain a new understanding of how incredibly important their role is in the whole experience.

Four weeks from today, I will be holding an intensive Hypnobirthing course in Brixham.

“What does that mean?” I hear you ask…
Well instead of my previous 10 hours of teaching time (4 sessions carried out over 4 weeks), I’ve compacted the classes into 4 hours and as a result of that I am also able to reduce the price….

Today I had the pleasure of meeting up with one of my amazing BYB mamas and finally got to meet her beautiful little girl, Grace!💚

To see so much contentment and love was enough to melt my heart!💚

Being able to create and maintain such lovely connections with the families I teach is another reason why I love what I do!💚

As promised, here is the beautiful birth story of baby Sebastian 💜

I may have read it about 15 times already..I can’t get enough of it!

💜💜Grace and Dan’s Story💜💜
Baby boy doesn't seem to want to do anything other than feed 100% of the time so while I'm glued to one spot and Robin is at nursery, I thought I'd let you know how things went! I honestly can't say thank you enough for everything you taught us, I can't stop thinking about it and how over the moon I am that we got to have that experience!

Mild cramps started every 10 mins or so at 5pm on Wednesday, but given I'd had a week of tightenings, I went about my business including driving to Exeter as the car had to go into the garage, hoovering out our other car and swapping car seats over 🤣 Got home about 9pm and decided to go to bed in case it was the real deal.

I woke up at 1.30am and could no longer sleep through the waves, but still wasn't convinced it was time. I lit some candles, watched Friends and put some washing on the line 🤣 at 2.30am I woke Dan up and by 3am we knew it was real. I had an hour of about 3 contractions in 10 mins but they were only 30 seconds long so I delayed ringing. At 4am I rang torbay and they told me to come downl. It took nearly an hour to leave the house as I could barely take 2 steps without having to pause for a wave 🤣 I was still in control but had reached my limit, so decided not to use the MLU as I thought I'd be more comfortable with more options of pain relief. I was disappointed to come to that decision but knew it was right.

It’s always with huge pleasure that I get to post about the arrival of another BYB baby!!

Welcome to the world little Sebastian!!💜 I had the honour of working with your amazing mammy (sorry, I can’t shake the Irishness and nor do I want to 😋) and daddy while they prepared for your birth and what a wonderful birth it was!💜

Grace Morley] has kindly given me their birth story to share with you-which I will deliver in my next post, but to give you an idea of what’s to come, on her initial message to me after Sebastian’s birth, some of the words she used were “it couldn’t have gone much better”, “we are over the moon!”

I never like to announce these things too soon, as it’s not my news to share, but I feel enough time has passed for me to welcome to the world another gorgeous hypnobaby!!!💜

Little Lyla was born at the end of July and I’m so excited that I get to meet her and her bff (a fellow hypnobabe, Esme) TODAY!!!🥰

Also very excited to give their amazing mamas a cuddle (and dadda’s, if they happen to be there)! They’ve done so incredibly well!! ❤️

God dammit…not doing very well at this pledge to stay on top of social media am I!?😳

Life is just way too busy of late and I’m not the biggest fan of being beholden to algorithms and all that nonsense, so I’ve been quiet (well at least online).

Anyway…just wanted to let you all know that Before You Birth is still very much alive and kicking and that the next group hypnobirthing course is being planned within the next few days.

Private courses are also available upon enquiry.
