London folks, who needs a massage??

I’ve recently qualified as a massage therapist and am looking to expand my client base. I work in the Forest of Dean mostly but sometimes in Bristol and sometimes in London. I trained in ‘Tui Na’ which is an ancient Chinese method that is the precursor to acupuncture. It uses a highly effective gentle rocking technique that soothes the body and soul to relax and let go of built up tensions.
So far I’ve brought 4 people to tears of joy, fixed 3 episodes of sciatica, aided in mobility issues of someone with MS, alleviated carpal tunnel from worsening, taken away 4 headaches and fixed 2 frozen shoulders.

Spotting has to change depending on the skill level of the acrobat being spotted. Normally it’s incremental, with the steps between being so small you wouldn’t necessarily notice it’s even a step if you weren’t trying something really scary. Here I go from a two handed spot to a shadow (stay 2inches away the whole time) but I’m still a target to aim for. If I were to walk away at this point and ask Jake to do it alone he might be able to complete it but something will not be done correctly (not swinging arms far enough back means forces send shoulders forward at point of impact which is high pressure on wrists and jaw) and could lead to injury.

Consistent spotting and gradual progressions help alleviate anxiety and fear about certain moves to the point that the acrobat then builds the neural pathway. Once that path is forged they don’t need the spotter any more.
But until it’s fully formed from repeating the correct movements each 10000 times then mistakes and therefore injuries can happen.

If you want to learn something challenging and scary please call me first and see if I can find ways to spot you so you can learn it properly the first time. Relearning takes so much longer than learning correctly the first time.
