INCLUSIVE MEANS INCLUSIVE FOR EVERYONE.
Bringing Children 🧒🏼 & Babies 👶🏼 to Classes: Guidelines for Parents
At Valesco Fitness Collective, we’re proud to be a family-friendly space—and we know that for many parents, fitness is essential not just for physical health but for mental wellbeing, too.
We welcome babies and children at off-peak weekday classes (the 8am and the 9.30am), and we want to ensure that everyone—parents, kids, and other members—have a safe and positive experience.
Here’s how we make it work together:
When Kids Are Welcome 🤗
Children and babies are welcome during weekday, off-peak classes (8am and 9.30am class and open gym between 8am and 12.30pm).
Weekend Gymnastics and Sunday Sweat (not Team WOD or yoga please)
Babies & Toddlers (0–3 years) 👶🏼
Babies & toddlers must remain in car seats, prams, or designated safe areas during class. They must be supervised closely and kept away from equipment, weights, and class space.
Bring toys, snacks, or books to help keep them entertained—just no noisy electronic toys, please!
Children (4+ years) 🧸
Older children are welcome to sit quietly in the waiting area or chill nearby during class.
They must not enter the gym floor or disrupt the session.
Parents are responsible for their supervision—our coaches’ priority is leading a safe class for members.
Safety First!
Children should never handle gym equipment or be on the class space during class time—even between sets.
No running, climbing on rigs, or wandering into other people’s space.
If a child becomes distressed or disruptive, we kindly ask you to step aside to soothe them.
Respecting ✊🏼 the Community
We’re all here for support—but please keep in mind:
Not all members are parents, and some may rely on this time for personal focus or mental reset.
Try to avoid distractions for others—quiet toys and minimal disruption go a long way.
Let’s all create a space where parents feel supported, and all members feel respected.
Clean-Up Courtesy 🧼
Please clean up any snacks, toys, or spills after class.
Floor cleaner and hand sanitiser are available if needed—just ask a coach!
Need Help or Not Sure?
Our coaching team is happy to help you navigate classes as a parent—we get it! Many of us are parents, too. If you have any specific needs or concerns, just chat to us before the session or drop your gym mailbox a message.
Final Thoughts 💭
At Valesco, we believe that parents shouldn’t have to choose between their health and their family. We’re here to support you every step of the way—and we’re so glad you’re here.
Thanks for being part of our community—and for helping us keep it safe, welcoming, and inclusive for everyone.
Big Love,
Team Valesco xx
