I’m all for removing the barriers that stop you from reaching your goals. It’s way too easy to get inside your own head and find reasons not to start.
Most of my clients started with me because they didn’t feel confident to go it alone… and now? I’ve seen them have countless wins! Many they didn’t even set out to achieve. 🙌🏻
These tips are designed to help you feel more confident walking into a new gym and actually enjoy your first few sessions.
Just a note on Tip 1 vs Tip 2, they’re not a contradiction. Tip 1 helps you scope out the gym at the time you’ll normally train, so you know what to expect. Tip 2 helps you ease in with your first session at a quieter time so you can get your bearings without the pressure.
Let’s be real, the vibe of a gym matters. I used to love training in a gym with a lot of older folks doing physio, the squat rack was always free and no one was staring. Now I train at where everyone’s working hard, focused on their goals, not watching what anyone else is doing. The kind of environment makes all the difference. 🔥
