Well that doesn’t happen every weekend! This weekend we had two tons, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. Overseas Peter turned up in immense form this weekend hitting his ton off just 84 balls including 9 4s and 5 6s! Scoring 104 out of 165 runs scored. This is Peter’s second Ton for the season really showing his class and value to the club. Then came the turn of c**t of the year contender O Burrows. For those who don’t Mr Burrows has always been a handy bat but this year he has really stepped it up several levels making himself a regular in our second 11. Not to mention his captaincy of the U15 who are unbeaten this season. The most surprising of these stats is that life long wicket-keeper Mr Burrows decided he would try his hand at left hand off spin at the start of the season and has already taken 20 wickets in all comps this season including a 3 - 15 in an important game at home against Poynings for the 2nd 11. 20 wickets makes him the top wicket taker at the club so far this season including all comps!!! Everyone at the club is immensely proud of his progress this season and also his attitude which sets a high standard for the rest of the c**ts to follow. I’m sure it’ll be no time before he’s doing it for our 1st team 💛🖤💛🖤

So here we have the 4 results from yesterday. We came just short of a perfect weekend for the games we played. Starting positively. A great bowling effort from Mustaq and George, with an opening spell from regular TFCer Robbie Stoner who picked up a wicket also. This was followed up by a fantastic partnership from best friends Peter (sponsored by Bullistic Cricket ) and Connor (sponsored by Christoper Stringer CPJ Field | Family Funeral Directors ) to bring a win for the 1s at home to Rye. The former getting a league ton which included a 6 nearly into the football field followed by another 6 that was equally as good next bowl. The 2s had an equally impressive day putting on a score of 168 which asked questions of the oppo this included runs for club veteran James, Mr consistent Jonjo and young star Mr Burrows. The question of whether 168 would be enough at Plumpton was quickly answered as the 2s bowled them out for 86 with captain Phil leading from the front with 3 and wickets all round for Jonjo, James, L Greenwood and Mr Burrows, every bowler took at least one wicket most taking 2. The thirds sadly had a tough day on a tough pitch at EBP against a strong Palmers team. Highlights included a middle order fantastic innings from Kim and a clubbing from Murray which included 3 sixes. The 4s put on a huge 271 at Seaford with runs from all top 4 who scored at least 30 a piece. Highlights were the young M Dunk and 5th captain Mark. Then came more help from juniors as Mini Dye and Mini Thomas shared 6 wickets narrowly missing out on bowling Seaford out who put on a respectable 180. A game which gives a great example of the emphasis we put on juniors at the club. We then all came together to do a up and down quiz which was more chaos than questions, thank you to those who stayed I hope it was amusing. See you next week 5 sides out so please get your availability in early! Come watch the England game afterwards as well as the on Tuesday and nets on Wednesday!

Happy Father’s Day to one and all! Here are just a few of the fathers that play and are a part of our wonderful family club! Father Dorian is president with sons Henry and George playing in the 1st. Lorne and his Daughter form an unbreakable wicket taking duo. Derren captains the 4s while his son captains our 1st team. Andy Jeffrey often plays with his Son as well. Also, not in the photos we also had Michael and A Browne play together this weekend for the 3s. Happy Father’s Day to all!
