Well done to our team of Kicks Fighters 🔥🔥, & thank you to Pride Kickboxing and all the clubs who shared the ring with us 🙏🙏.  

From those getting into the ring for the first time to our more experienced fighters this was a great opportunity to work on building confidence, skills and ringcraft in a competitive and friendly arena.  

A great day 💯💯, and an event we'll look forward to returning to. Thank you to all the Kicks students and family and friends who came to support us🫶🫶.

Thoughts continue to be with Raven Chapman and family 🙏🙏. Raven and her dad both trained and fought under the Kicks banner when they moved to Brighton from Pegasus Gym , and before Raven transitioned to boxing 🥊🥊.

KBX 8 - What a show 💯💯. Quality fights, and such talent on display. Great to see so many clubs and be part of it 🙏.

It's no wonder the events the Sheltons put on are so well supported and sold out, and they really pulled out all the stops for this one 👏👏.

Not least that legend Malcolm Martin was commentating, and accompanied by his wonderful dad Arthur 💛.

Well done to Anthony Wingrove in his first N Class Thai Boxing Bout. It takes courage 💪 and heart to get into the ring, and Anthony has trained so hard for this fight.

A loss but Anthony can feel proud he gave it his all. Credit to his opponent who was sharp and strong at distance, and also good in the clinch.

Anthony will bounce back from this, and was already reflecting on how to improve right afterwards so he'll be back🥊🥊.

My usual Sunday Morning Women's Kickboxing Session became not so normal due to being awarded my 6th Degree at the end of the class by Shihan Robert H Mason and Chairman of ISKA🙏🙏.   

I feel very humbled to receive this recognition after more than 30 years of training, fighting, coaching and growing within the sport🥊🥋🇹🇭. 

It means a great deal, and I would like to thank everyone who has been part of my journey over the last 32 years of my life. All my amazing Instructors over this time both in this country and overseas 💯💯💯; all my wonderful students both past and present🫶🫶, and all my friends and family❤️. 

I am very aware how lucky I am to be part of such a supportive martial arts family and community.

It was fantastic today to be surrounded by some of the amazing women I have the privilege to teach, and thank you so much for your congratulations and heart warming comments💛💛.  I was quite emotional, and unusually for me at a loss for words 😁 but I've found them again now 👏👏👏.

A special thanks to Chris since day 1 for all his knowledge and expertise🫶🫶.  Obviously I wouldn't be where I am today without you so thank you ❤️❤️.    

I am excited to continue on my journey of learning with you all. 

Have a lovely Bank Holiday Week-End.

Thank you so much to Shihan Robert Heale Mason for an excellent seminar this afternoon on gun defence and groundwork defence.

Robert, Chief Instructor of the University Karate Center in Florida and World Commissioner for the ISKA, brings a wealth of experience and decades of training in martial arts.

We worked through several practical scenarios for both situations. Everyone came away feeling they had learned something valuable and, just as importantly, something they could actually retain and apply.

We’ve all attended seminars where there’s so much information that little sticks when you look back on it a week later. This was the opposite: clear, practical, and memorable. Grateful for the opportunity and the deeper understanding gained.
