🎉 I HAVE FINALLY COMPLETED MY LEVEL 3 PERSONAL TRAINING QUALIFICATION! 🎉
I honestly can’t explain the relief.
After 6 months of PT sessions, completing over 400 hours for free, living off my savings and dealing with more stress and anxiety than I’d like to admit, it’s finally done.
This is such an emotional moment for me because it’s about so much more than a qualification (and to actually start earning some money🤣)
Two years ago, I left the RAF and moved my entire life back to West Yorkshire. My family had moved out of my childhood home, I didn’t have a job, my mental health was in the gutter and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing with my life.
Since then, I’ve had 4 or 5 different jobs, worked early mornings, late evenings, weekends and 16-hour days. I genuinely don’t think I’ve had a week off since leaving the military.
In the last 6 months alone, I’ve completed over 400 hours of personal training, learnt how to build a business, worked through life after my ADHD and autism assessments, continued running empowerHER, started the process of buying a house and somehow tried to maintain a social life in between.
There have been plenty of moments where I’ve questioned whether I was capable of doing all of this, but somehow we’ve got there.
I can’t thank my clients enough for trusting me and allowing me to be part of your journeys. Without you, none of this would have been possible.
A huge thank you to the team at MP Fit, especially Nic, for giving me this opportunity and believing in me when I was just starting out. I’ll always be grateful for that.
Most importantly, thank you to Charlie. Since leaving the military he’s been there through every step of this journey. He keeps the house running, makes my favourite tea every night, listens to every rant, puts up with every stressful moment and somehow always knows what to say when I’m losing my head. He genuinely is my biggest supporter and I couldn’t have done this without him.
There are also so many other people who have helped me get to this point. Shelly and Jan, mytwo wonderful big sisters, my best friends Emily, Jess and Caitlyn, my Uncle Jason, and the empowerHER girls (especially Gee, Sabrina and Emma). Whether it’s been listening to me complain, dragging me out for a drink, making me laugh when I’ve needed it most, checking in on me or simply being there, you’ve all played a much bigger part in this journey than you’ll probably ever realise.
You all know I’m not the emotional type, but I genuinely appreciate every single one of you. The last two years have been tough at times and having good people around me has made all the difference.
So, this is just the beginning.
