Today’s Tuesday Tip is a Twosday Tip!

Muscle “pairs” include the hamstrings & quads, biceps & triceps, pecs & traps and hip flexors & hip extensors.

If you’re working on one, say, quads in a workout, don’t forget the opposite muscle to keep your strength balanced!

Tuesday Tip time!

Lower back problems, a common complaint amongst lots of people! My Tuesday tip for helping this is to engage your core so your abdominals can support your back particularly when doing exercises that involve hinging from the hips or leaning forward slightly like deadlifts, squats etc.
Your muscles work in pairs so engaging the opposite muscle can help a lot!
Of course it’s also good form!! 😜

So yes, I can do this, not always but most of the time… it’s something my body can do but there are thousands of things ...

So yes, I can do this, not always but most of the time… it’s something my body can do but there are thousands of things that my body can’t do that other people’s bodies can. Part of it is anatomy, part of it is working out, persistence, consistency, and for this, probably the many years of ballet training doesn’t hurt!!
My Tuesday tip this week is that we should be proud of what our bodies can do , whatever that may be and confident in the knowledge that if you put in the time and effort you can improve so many things whether that’s just standing tall when you walk to improve posture, full splits or dead lifting your own body weight!

DOMS….. some people love them, some people hate them…
I find that the best way to deal with them is to do some exercise the following day, whether that’s a class, gym session or a good stomp, warm up those sore muscles again, get the blood flowing through them.
And please, remember to stretch 😜
