So today afc brunswick hit the road to Hull for another pre season game against east Yorkshire United ⚽️
With a bare 11 and the pitch unmarked when we stepped out and the opposition having to use cones we knew we was in for a tough couple of hours 😬🤣
Brunswick started off the better team in the first 10 mins when a through ball made its way to the feet of Nathan james to calmly finish his chance to make it 1 nil to brunswick
East Yorkshire United were pressing brunswick straight after the goal but the defence of clough, lawton, acton and Wray made it more difficult than they imagined, with a few shots hitting more back gardens than the target
Half time 0-1
As the second half started brunswick knew they had to step it up a level and thats exactly what they did 10 mins into the second half, with some nice play out wide from clough and james to assist Nathan Bristow with his first goal of the game

With a questionable corner given by the referee, the opposition swung the corner in only to find alex howell twerking in the penalty area to score in his own goal from his backside 😬

But pretty much straight from kick off the ball came back to the defense and found the feet of lawton who made the pass of the game (by a country mile) and found a through ball to Nathan Bristow who found his second goal of the game

East Yorkshire United found their feet again with some good play from midfield and put a weak cross in the box which should of been dealt with easy, but mr poppadom hands (George hughes) fumbled it into the striker who slotted it home

With the final minutes looming, Nathan Bristow weaved his way into the penalty area only to be brought down and the referee pointed to the spot
But instead of taking it himself for a hat trick, he gave the ball to his son Leland Bristow who follows in his dad's footsteps and smashed it into the bottom corner
