Hello everyone,
My name is Don Miller and, on and off for more than 20 years, I have had the pleasure of serving as Match Secretary for Combwich Short Mat Bowls Club. I have recently taken on the role again, alongside the newly created position of Club Coach for new players.
During my time with the club, we have enjoyed our fair share of wins and, like every small bowls club, we have also had our share of losses. While winning is always nice, it has never been the most important part of what we do.
At Combwich Short Mat Bowls Club, our main aim is to bring people together. We see the club as a catalyst for friendship, social activity, fellowship, and community spirit. Short Mat Bowls is a wonderful little game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities, whether you are a seasoned player or have never picked up a bowl before.
If you are looking for a friendly and welcoming group where you can enjoy a bit of gentle competition, have a laugh, meet new people, and become part of the local community, we would be delighted to see you.
