It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce that Sergio will be taking his last breaths shortly. Earlier on Thursday morning, Sergio suffered a very strong stroke, and the doctors have told us that he will not be able to recover.
The work we do here, is Sergio’s life work and it will continue. As you all know this is a family business, made up of his wife, Laura, your beloved head teacher and founder, and Ilya, his son who replies to emails and a few bits and bobs. Sergio would not allow us to falter at all, so we won’t be stopping classes. Laura’s classes will be substituted until further notice at both studios.
Sergio leaves us with a smile, the same smile he always gave everyone that walked into the studio and who he attempted to communicate with with his almost perfect english. At the forefront of his mind was client satisfaction and all his work was to provide an excellent Pilates class but also an excellent smile to everyone that walked in, and, and a joyous vibe that everybody knows is and will be unmatched.
I know some of you have emailed over queries, I appreciate the patience given to us during this tough time, I will be back on Monday to get back to all of you.
I know this news doesn’t just affect us, a lot of you know Sergio as well and loved him too, we will keep pushing his dream through El Estudio, by Sergio.
