Another epic adventure on the high hills of SAS Selection heartland. Thanks to all who braved the challenge of the original Fan Dance in what was our coldest weekend yet. Utterly icers! Our former SAS & SBS DS, the MST and Base Camp team convey their respect and admiration to all who had the backbone to make it to the start line, whether the FRV was reached or not. AEE are honoured and humbled to have staged the world's oldest Special Forces Selection march and to have shared our small part of our own lives with so many great people who dared to go a little further

Busy weekend for the team. CALLOUT yesterday to two young men who had become disoriented and benighted before they managed to descend from Pen Y Fan. Luckily AEE: The Original Special Forces Events Organisation had an event running on the hill at the time so, the pair were able to take shelter in their check point tent on the top of Pen Y Fan, whilst team members made their way to them to guide them safely off the hill.
Sunday training at Cwm Gwdi was swiftly followed by a call to assist colleagues from Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team for a casualty with lower leg injury on the Neuadd ridge. The casualty was airlifted to hospital by Maritime and Coastguard Agency rescue helicopter.
