Monday 25th saw a team of 4 going to Bowdon Croquet Club to play the first round of the Murphy Cup. After 7 very hard fought games, all the best of three, Branston Croquet Club won 4 - 3. A great day of Croquet with great company.

Last Division 1 League game for the Branston A team today, a home game against another local team Dunston A. We managed to avoid most of the rain but we did get caught in a sharp shower towards the end of the match. Some very close games with Branston A winning 8 games to 4. This brings to an end our season with 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, well done to everyone.

A trip to Sheffield Parkhead Croquet Club for Division 1 League game. We managed to avoid the rain and finished all square on 6 games each, hoop score was 65 - 64.

Branston A Team hosted Ashby A in East Midlands Division 1 league game yesterday. A very hot day played on dry, very fast lawns due to little rain over the last couple of months. Home advantage played it's part in the final result, another win for Branston A Team by 8 games to 4 well done everyone. Thanks to our members for timing duties and supporting the team. Lunch was provided by the home team and was enjoyed by all.
Two wins out of two, next up is another home game against Leicester on Wednesday 16th July.

Branston Croquet Club Atèam played their first league game today against Nottingham A. Although this was Nottingham 's home game it was played at Branston due to problems with the lawns at Nottingham. The match was played in great weather with some very close games, the result was a win for Branston 8- 4. Lunch was provided by Nottingham and drinks by Branston, a great day of croquet and great company.

Good day for Branston Croquet Club at Southwell Pairs tournament, Stuart and Claire from Branston beat Pauline and Marion from Branston in the final. The weather was a bit unpredictable with showers, thunder and lightning.
