🔥 Wickersley Youth Blues U10s - Matchday Update 🔥
​What a game today! The progress is coming with improved passing and pressing play. Heesey was a complete live wire, causing chaos for their defence and not giving them a minute. The rest of the team all played their part to maintain our unbeaten start to the season.
​🙌 Parents' Player of the Match goes to Sebby! He was rock-solid once again at the heart of our defence.

⚽💙 WHAT A START TO THE LEAGUE SEASON! 💙⚽

Wickersley Blues got off to a flying start in their first league game of the season against Brunsmeer! 🚀🔥

The team showed fantastic energy, determination and teamwork from start to finish, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single player! 💪⚽💙

For our first game back after the summer break, we were handed a tough opening away fixture against a quality Brunsmeer team. The boys knew they would have to step up — and boy, did they!

Every single player, from back to front, gave absolutely everything. It was a very tight game from the start, but our quality shone through in the end. A solid all-round team performance and a brilliant result to kick off the season!

🏆 Man of the Match: Kayon 🌟

A special mention goes to our Man of the Match, Kayon. He covered every blade of grass, worked tirelessly up front and played a crucial part defensively as well. An outstanding performance — well done, Special K! 👏💙

👏 Parents’ Player of the Match: Cooper 🌟

We also introduced a new trophy this season: Parents’ Player of the Match, which went to Cooper. Cooper always gives his all and wears his heart on his sleeve. With some tough tackles and some brilliant assists, he thoroughly deserved the award. Well done, Cooper! 👏

What a day for Wickersley Blue! 🏆💙

Two absolutely outstanding, high-energy performances on Sunday saw the lads storm their way to being crowned Summer Tournament Champions. Every single player left everything on the pitch — determination, grit, teamwork, and pure desire from start to finish. 💥

It’s been incredible watching this group grow, gel, and raise their levels week after week. The togetherness, the fight, and the passion for the badge is what it’s all about.

And now… with two new boys locked in, the squad is only getting stronger 👀💪 — everything is to play for heading into the upcoming season!

A massive shoutout to all the players, coaches, and the unbelievable parents and supporters who brought the noise and backed the team every step of the way. You should all be massively proud.

Champions today but missing two of our boys as they are living their best lives on holiday.

🔥Derby Day 🔥

These are the matches that test everything — intensity, grit, heart. Fast, fierce, and never easy. And today was no different.

From the first whistle, it was a tough start for the Blues. The game slipped away early, going 2–0 down inside the first 10 minutes. At halftime, the challenge was clear.

But these boys are defined by how they respond.

The second half? Pure magic. Heads lifted. Belief restored. The passing sharpened, the movement clicked, and chances started to flow. This wasn’t just a comeback — it was a statement. Every player stepped up, fighting for each other, playing with that unselfish drive that’s defined the team all season.

And then… that moment. A free kick of absolute class from Sebby — the kind that freezes time and ignites everything. Game level. Game on.

To top it off, a disallowed goal that could have sealed the win for the Blues — margins that tight, moments that big.

Massive credit to Bramley as well — a fantastic side and a brilliant game of football from both teams 👏
