The faces behind NCB darts
Meet Netty ‘short-stack’ Bryant. My love of the game came from watching my dad and at 12 years old asked to play. From age 17 I started playing in the local darts league in both the men’s and women’s. I don’t just enjoy the game but everything that comes with it the socialising, the banter and team mates who become an extended family.
Next is Connor ‘the chemist’ Bryant who watched his grandad play and at age 16 wanted to play in a league. Connor went on to play in numerous leagues and Essex County Youth. With great potential Connor unfortunately suffered dartitus leaving him frustrated and down beat. However the love of the game proved too much and is now training himself to play left-handed. Whilst not at the level he was with time practice and effort there is no reason this could not be achieved.
Having played for nearly 30 years it is great to see the resurgence of darts, how our local league has grown and the amazing young players coming through!
