We were proud to host our very first Vaisakhi Fun Run in Yorkshire, and the response from the community was truly incredible. It was heartwarming to see people of all ages come together — from young children and teenagers to adults and seniors — all participating with enthusiasm and joy.
The atmosphere was vibrant and inclusive, with everyone supporting one another, socialising, and celebrating as a community. After the run, participants enjoyed refreshments together, and medals were awarded across different age groups, making the experience even more memorable.
We are also delighted to share that the event helped raise funds for Yorkshire Sikh Sports. The overwhelming support and encouragement from our community has been inspiring, and many are already looking forward to our upcoming event.
We’re excited to announce that the main Yorkshire Sikh Sports Games will take place on 15th August at Bradford Grammar School. We can’t wait to see even more of you there for another day of unity, sport, and celebration.
A special thank you to the Air Ambulance team who joined us with their stall, helping raise awareness and funds for their vital work. Their presence was greatly appreciated, and it was wonderful to see them engage with our community.
