Stage 84 - The Yorkshire School of Performing Arts Proudly founded in Bradford in 1984, we are among the longest established and best-known schools of performing arts in the North of England.

We offer a range of classes for young people aged 3 to 18 and are celebrating our 40th Anniversary in 2024.

STAGE 84 PRESENTS DISNEY ALADDIN JR CAST! 🧞‍♂️✨

We would like to introduce our amazing cast of our upcoming production of Disney Aladdin JR.

Visit a whole new world with Disney’s Aladdin JR, a magical adventure filled with laughter, romance and unforgettable songs. From Agrabah’s streets to the dazzling Cave of Wonders, this musical brings the colour, comedy and spectacle of this much-loved story to life.

Here are just a few of our highly talented cast! Over the coming days, we’ll be introducing you to some of the wonderful characters and talented students taking to the stage!

REHEARSALS OF ALADDIN & FOOTLOOSE! 🎭✨

Sunday was another busy day at Stage 84 as our students continued rehearsals for our upcoming productions of Disney’s Aladdin JR and Footloose: Youth Edition …and wow were we blown away by the talent!

Our Aladdin JR. and Footloose: Youth Edition casts have been working incredibly hard to prepare for the big stage, from developing their stage presence, to working on voice projection and making sure their performances can reach every corner of the theatre.

Seeing the Chapel filled with dedicated students, happy faces and plenty of energy is exactly what Stage 84 is all about. Support, teamwork, artistry, growth and excellence, are at the heart of everything we do, and it was wonderful to see those values throughout Sunday’s rehearsal.

We can’t wait to see our students take to the stage at Yeadon Town Hall Theatre from Thursday 1 to Saturday 3 October!🎭

BEHIND THE SCENES OF SUNDAY’S PHOTOSHOOT! 📸🎭

On Sunday, we welcomed more of our cast members from Disney’s Aladdin JR. and Footloose: Youth Edition for another busy day of photography and rehearsals ahead of our October productions at Yeadon Town Hall Theatre.

From Burger Blast outfits to the Royal Attendants, the day gave students the chance to explore a variety of costumes as we captured promotional photographs for the show. Alongside the photoshoot, both productions had full run-throughs, throughout the day too!

A huge THANK YOU to all our parents, chaperones, teachers and staff who helped everything run smoothly. Our values of support and teamwork could be seen throughout the day, with everyone working together to keep things moving.

Since 1984, we have produced hundreds of shows and provided high-quality Musical Theatre training, giving students the opportunity to develop their skills in singing, dancing and acting while performing as part of a team.

🎭TRINITY EXAMINATIONS 2026 🎭

A huge congratulations to our students who recently took part in the Trinity College London Solo and Group examinations.

Our Group Drama Workshop and 1-to-1 Speech and Drama students have worked extremely hard in preparation for their examinations, working towards a variety of grades and showcasing their performances to the examiner.

We are incredibly proud of the hard-working and dedicated students we have here at Stage 84, and their commitment has certainly been reflected in the excellent results they received. Thank you to all our amazing teachers!

🎶 LAMDA EXAMINATIONS 2026 🎤

A huge congratulations to all of our 1-1 Singing students who recently took their LAMDA Solo Musical Theatre examinations and received excellent results.

We are incredibly proud of every student who took part. A great deal of time, dedication and preparation goes into preparing for these examinations, and it has been wonderful to see all of their hard work recognised. A huge thank you to our amazing singing teachers!

At Stage 84, we have a long-standing tradition of supporting students through their LAMDA examinations, from Entry Level through to Grade 8. These qualifications can also support students as they progress into further education.

At Stage 84, students gain valuable performance experience through regular productions, performing on incredible stages. We are proud to have supported students who have progressed into professional opportunities, including performing on cruise ships and touring productions.

September is one of the key times of year to join Stage 84, as enrolment closes later in the year while we focus on preparing for our productions. This ensures every student has the time, training and support they need to be fully involved in the performance journey.

BEHIND THE SCENES AT LAST NIGHT’S PHOTOSHOOT! 📸🎭

Last night, we welcomed many of our principal cast of Disney’s Aladdin JR. and Footloose: Youth Edition for an exciting evening of preparation ahead of our October productions!

Students had the opportunity to try on their costumes, explore their different costume changes and trial hair and makeup as preparations continue for the big week at Yeadon Town Hall Theatre. It was fantastic to see everyone beginning to step into their characters and see the vision for the productions start to take place.

It was certainly a busy evening, but seeing the creativity, teamwork and excitement come together made it all worthwhile and we can't wait to see how the photographs turn out! A huge thank you to our volunteers and chaperones for all their hard work so far.

We'll be doing it all again at the weekend as preparations continue.

THROWBACK TO 2019 📸

Some photographs capture a moment, while others capture the beginning of a journey. This throwback to our 2019 Reds Performing Arts class is one of those moments. Looking back, it’s incredible to see just how far our students have come.

When this photograph was taken, Hetty, Holly and Finnlay were just 4 and 5 years old. Today, at 12 and 13, they continue to be part of Stage 84, developing their skills, discovering new opportunities and growing in confidence both on and off the stage.

Their journeys have taken them through a wide range of classes and productions.
Hetty now attends Singing, Performing Arts, Contemporary and Speech & Drama; Holly continues with Performing Arts, and Finnlay takes Speech & Drama, Singing and Performing Arts. Over the years, they have performed in numerous productions, with Hetty’s favourite being Frozen, Holly’s Annie and Finnlay’s Les Misérables.

At Stage 84, we’re proud to provide a supportive environment where students can grow at their own pace, develop their artistry and continue to challenge themselves. All three still join us for Summer School most years, making new memories and continuing a journey that began all those years ago. From their first steps into performing arts to the confident young performers they are today, we’re proud to have been part of their journey.
