π₯ GIVE THIS A READ! π₯
Just want to take a moment to give a huge shout out to ! Archie has been coming to me for PT's for a couple of months now and every session he gives his absolute all. He's only in his early teens but the work ethic he has is incredible, never says no and always gives everything a go without questioning.
We've always done jumping and throwing in the start of our sessions and when Archie first came, jumping onto the black reebok step in its lowest position to 2 feet was a struggle, but, we've stuck with the plan, worked with his strength, worked on jumping, worked on power and explosiveness and kept making progress with the reebok step.
Yesterday, for the first time, Archie believed he could move to the box! π€― So out it came.. It took a little bit but he did it!! After doing it I asked if he wanted to try a plate, again, it took a while but he smashed that one as well! And then, he wanted to add another!! Every time I walked away to get another plate, I'd turn around and he'd be jumping still!
2 plates on now and this is where the doubts creeped in, I said to Archie after a little bit, "listen we can stop whenever you want, I'm not forcing you to do this".... His reply? "No, I'm gunna land it!!" Then BOOM! He did it!! π Then he did it again, and again, and again!! Look at his face, hear his reaction, my reaction! A moment of sheer joy and a feeling of accomplishment, a moment he worked so hard for and never gave up, he did it!
This is why I love doing what I do, seeing this kind of achievement and seeing people progress with my help is such an amazing feeling, and Archie's achievement here is a story and a lesson for EVERYONE no matter what circumstance you're in, don't give up, trust the process and eventually your hard work will pay off πͺ
Absolutely buzzing for the lad, well done Archie mate π
