RESULTS…🥁

The Devils played another league game last night but were a player down and we even had to rope in the Captain’s daughter so we weren’t two players down!

As you can imagine, it was a bit rough! But the girls gave it a good bash and made sure to improve in the second half as well as focus on some key aspects that we have been working on in training: staying in as a batter.

Our POM went to Sally Bell for her amazing deep field catch and top batting. She was running all over the field to make up for our missing players. Well done!

Hopefully the next game we will have a full squad and our girls who have jetted off will be tanned and ready to perform🌞🌞

A tough game against top of the league but Drig gave it a good go and started off batting.

Our POM went to Amy for an amazing deep field catch, that was so far out it was nearly in the neighbours garden!😳

Drig tried to close the gap down in the second innings. Well done Curly for scoring 3 in the game!🏏

RESULTS…

A sweaty one tonight but the girls turned out in full force! Hunslet lost the toss so Drig opted to field first, perhaps in hopes of catching a tan?!🥵🌞

Amazing fielding by Lara and Amy the dream duo👭Some new rules were learned by all leading to some unfortunate extra runs for Hunslet. Up came our batting and the sun must have got to our heads as the girls forgot to sprint to stay in🤦‍♀️

The devils had a big chase to do in the second innings but they gave it a big go and right up to the last ball, to quote the umpire, it was “squeaky bum time”🍑

An unfortunate loss for the devils but our Vicky left with a well deserved POM for some slayyyyy bowling⚾️

A lovely game, thank you Hunslet and the umpires, topped off with some ice cream for all!🍦
