🏆💜 WHAT AN AMAZING DAY! 💜🏆

Today saw Drighlington Cricket Team take on the Drighlington Devils in our charity Rounders vs Cricket Match, all in support of Epilepsy UK! 💜

It was competitive, it was hilarious, and most importantly, it was all for an incredible cause! 😂🏏🔥

After a brilliant game, the final score was:

🏆 Drighlington Cricket Team – 20.5
😈 Drighlington Devils – 18

👏 Congratulations to the cricket team on taking the win! We’ll give you this one… until the rematch! 😉😈

But the biggest win of the day was the phenomenal amount raised…

A HUGE thank you to absolutely everyone who came along, played, donated, bought raffle tickets, took part in our costume auction, supported us and helped make today such a fantastic success.

Days like today show exactly what our club and community are all about — coming together, having fun and supporting causes that mean so much to us.

Last night we had a lovely friendly with a mash up team of players from Sharks, BatGirls, Halifax and maybe even more! They came and won (as expected!) but gave us loads of tricks and tips to take into the next season.

Since it was a friendly we did out is not out but -0.5 score.

Half time:
Drig -2.5 VS +4 Mixed

Full time:
Drig +4 VS +12.5 Mixed

Our POM went to Anna for trying out a new fielding position successfully and some great hits when batting🤩

Thanks to the mixed team for coming as we learned a lot; I’m sure it won’t be the last time either 😊

An unfortunate end to the season but it didn’t stop the girls from ending the season with a smile since the girls stayed for drinks and brownies🍻

Our POM went to Amy for her amazing catch between her legs as she hopped around the field trying not to drop it! She also had some great hits whilst batting🏏

That’s it for the 2026 league season! Keep posted for any friendlies, socials and of course our own tournament in September. We will still be training once a week so if you want to join then please get in touch 😃
