Hot weather doesn’t mean you need to stop training altogether
It does mean you need to train smarter ☀️

Your body is already working harder to regulate temperature, so expecting yourself to perform exactly the same as usual can leave you feeling exhausted, frustrated or just flat.

Some days, the smartest thing you can do is adapt.
show up, move well, manage intensity and focus on consistency over ego.

Remember:
A “worse” session than usual is still a session.
Modified training still gets results.
Looking after recovery is part of training too.

The goal isn’t to win the workout.
The goal is to keep progressing without running yourself into the ground 👏🏼

Most people assume they’re aging normally.

But your daily habits may actually be speeding things up… or slowing them down.
And most people have no idea which direction they are heading.

Your biological age is shaped by six key areas:
1. Movement and fitness
2. Sleep and recovery
3. Nutrition and daily habits
4. Stress and mental health
5. Key health markers
6. Body composition and energy

Score high across those six areas and your body may be functioning years younger than your chronological age.

Score low and the opposite may be true.

POV: You thought strength training in your 30s+ meant going hard or going home 👀

Here's what you need to know

1️⃣ Your muscles aren’t the only thing adapting.
Your joints, tendons and connective tissue need time to strengthen too,and they adapt slower than muscles do.

Learning movement properly first sets you up to build strength safely and progressively over time.

2️⃣ Doing too much too soon is often what causes injury.
The aim of the game is to stay in it longer. If an exercise is new to you, don’t rush to load it up. See how your body responds over the next few days, assess your soreness, then build from there. It takes time.

3️⃣ Sweat isn’t a measure of a good strength session.
When lifting weights, recovery between sets matters. We use a lot of supersets and trisets, but rest is still important because your muscles need time to recover in order to perform properly.

4️⃣ Machines have their place.
We don't have any other than lat pull-down. your body also needs to learn how to move through space, stabilise, balance, squat, hinge, push and pull in ways that transfer into real life.

5️⃣ Most women think they need to “get fitter first” before strength training.
You don’t. Good coaching meets you where you are. Nobody starts advanced, confident or strong

That part is built. And it takes time!
