Thank you to everyone who came today to our Easter event and enjoyed the Easter egg hunt, biscuit decorating, trying the bells, refreshments and the Teddy Bear Zip Wire- we raised £280 towards the upkeep of the bells and tower! All teddy bears that took part made it safely down the zip wire 🙂

Boxley Bellringers are running an event at the church on Easter Monday, 6th April from 10am to 12.30pm to raise funds towards the upkeep of the tower and bells. There will be an Easter Egg hunt, biscuit decorating, plus the opportunity to have a go at chiming or ringing one of the bells. There will also be refreshments available to purchase throughout the morning.

The main event will be our Teddy Bear Zip Wire - in return for gathering sponsorship to donate, we will send your teddy/soft toy zooming down a zip wire from the top of the bell tower into the churchyard below!

We are hoping for good weather but have backup plans in place, so no matter what happens the event will go ahead.

If you and your children/grandchildren/family/friends would like to come along, please complete the very short form at https://tinyurl.com/boxleyeaster so that we have an idea of numbers to expect on the day. The sponsor form can also be downloaded from there, or directly from https://tinyurl.com/zipsponsorform. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you there!

You haven’t quite heard the last of us this year yet though - we are ringing as usual this Sunday morning (21st December) and then are ringing again from 5.15pm ahead of the Carol service at 6pm.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🔔

Just to let everyone know that there will be no practice at Boxley on Wednesday 3rd December as we have our annual Christmas meal. Back to normal the following week.

The church is holding its annual Christmas Tree Festival starting today and continuing until Monday, so why not pop in and see our interactive tree? The ringers will be there on Saturday from 2-4pm taking donations in exchange for ringing to celebrate or remember 🔔

The ringers, along with some of our friends from Maidstone, Otham and Milton Regis, had a wonderful day out on Saturday for our annual tower outing, this year crossing the border into West Sussex. We visited Lindfield, Ardingly, Balcombe, Turner’s Hill and Worth. A very enjoyable day!
