Hello Upper Fernsiders - and the season is back upon us....

Our favourite Fairies will look to defend their league title crown this season in a revamped league featuring 10-12 teams...

In a busy Summer, the fairies have a number of gaps to plug - the return of Tom Beaumont though should help solidify some of the losses. Stepping into his new leadership role is Gordon Moanfield and championship winning manager Hugz has been busy with new arrivals that should see the likes of Zak and Matheus join the ranks to fill the huge gap left by talisman Luke Moran.

With a full fixture schedule ahead of them aside from 1 week off at the start of August - Hugz is looking to make sure the Fairies arrive into the season fully tuned up like last year.

Keep the dates in the diary, remember to make a wish and to believe in your favourite fairies...

It’s the witching hour upper fernsiders… and just a quick congratulations to your favourite fairies starting preseason strong with a tournament win - Hugz even had Artem, Kyro and Scotty Potter on at the same time and still brought home gold - the self dubbed “special one” is making quite a name for himself on the local management circuit….

I hear a sockless photo shoot was the catalyst for getting Hugz in tune with the earth….

With some gaps to fill after the retirement of Chewie chowcox and an actual whole to fill with the loss of Luke Moran - Hugz will need to be at his best to replace player of the season….

So far the only confirmed exits but we will see who comes in…. You know you’ll hear it here first…

The Fairies are back in 5 a side action this Saturday - No Smuggett in attendance.. the fairies will be led by King of the Fairies Gordan Fairyfield

New Milton RFC will be hosting the tournament - follow for live updates on the success of the 'boys'

June 13th - NM RFC 5 a side tournament

June 20th - End of season do

June 25th - Presentation Evening

July 11th - SWCFL Charity 6 a side

July 18th - Start of preseason friendlies

Charity cup heartbreak for both of our beloved fairies… 🧚 🧚‍♀️ 🧚‍♂️

Our favourite fairies entered two teams - the St Mary’s blues led by Gordon Bluefield and St Mary’s Greens led by rap sensation and half of Mizzle and Hugz Rhys Huggett

- Gordon’s bluefields made the top semi final unfortunately losing out to eventual winners and prospective new team City Gate

- Hugz greens made the final of the Trophy cup but would lose out on penalties to cup final foes Winton Wanderers FC as Brazilian sensation Joao channeled his inner Marquinhos harking back to the Brazil Croatia World Cup shoot out.

A wonderful day in the sun as the boys were unlucky not to bring more silverware back to Rhys’ gaff

Onwards and upwards as the lads are next in action in the New Milton tournament.
