Anti-hustle mentor, podcast host, author and Top 100 Female Founder . I’m Erin Thomas Wong, The Life-Friendly Business Mentor, and a leading voice for life-friendly entrepreneurship in the UK. I help female solopreneurs and micro business owners create sustainable success on their own terms by blending strategy, self leadership and anti hustle principles that honour their real lives. I champion women who have been made to feel they are failing in a world that still expects them to work as if they have no caring responsibilities and care as if they have no work. This space exists to show you that nothing is wrong with you. The traditional model was never designed with women in mind, especially those carrying the invisible load. There is another way, and it can feel both spacious and successful. With seventeen years of experience growing five businesses during the caring years, I understand the lived reality of building a business around motherhood, family and fluctuating capacity. My work focuses on helping you gain clarity, build confidence and grow in a life-friendly way that works for your circumstances, not against them. I host The Life-Friendly Business Podcast, lead The Cocoon membership, offer 1 to 1 mentoring and run uplifting in person events for women across the UK. Every space I hold is designed to be warm, supportive and rooted in compassion, because women thrive when they feel truly seen and supported. If you want to grow without burnout, feel more in control of your business and build something that supports your life, you are in the right place. Discover more at www.lifefriendlybusiness.com

If you’re busy all week serving clients, answering emails and dealing with whatever feels most urgent, but still wondering whether you’ve moved your business forward, this week is for you.

In one week, I’m opening the doors to The Cocoon for five free live sessions designed to help you work out which activities will genuinely grow your business, bring in clients and generate more sales.

♥ Clear the mental clutter
♥ Plan around your real capacity
♥ Identify the work that will make the greatest difference
♥ Meet women who understand the realities of business and life

This is not another five-day challenge to keep up with. Choose the sessions you need most and use the seven-day replays in whatever way works with your capacity.

This isn’t about adding more to your plate. It’s about working out what actually deserves to be on it.

The Cocoon Open House begins 21 September.

Save your spot!

What could you take away from one free week inside The Cocoon?

♥ A clearer head
We’ll begin with a guided Clarity Exercise to help you clear the noise and work out what genuinely needs your attention.

♥ A realistic direction
At the Quarterly Planning Party, you’ll reflect on what’s working, decide what matters over the next 90 days and identify the 5% activities most likely to move your business forward.

♥ Fresh perspectives
During our Networking + Q&A session, you can share what you’re working through, learn from other women in business and ask me your questions.

♥ A more intentional way to lead
In Become a Life-Friendly CEO, I’ll introduce you to the habits, rhythms and roadmap behind a business that works with your life.

♥ A clearer next step
At Friday’s informal drop-in, you can bring a cuppa, ask whatever is on your mind and talk through what comes next.

These are not simply five free online sessions.

They are an opportunity to experience what happens when you stop trying to hold every question, decision and responsibility by yourself.

By the end of the week, you could have:
♥ More clarity about what deserves your attention
♥ A realistic plan for the next 90 days
♥ Greater confidence in your priorities
♥ Useful connections with women who understand
♥ A taste of what it feels like to stop reacting and lead your business more intentionally

The Cocoon Open House takes place online from 21-25 September 2026.

It’s completely free and replays will be available for seven days.

Feeling all the feels right now.

It’s been a rollercoaster of a summer.

We travelled across the world to China, navigating a new culture, unexpected challenges and anaphylactic emergencies.

We finally made it home safely, only for me to have my heart in my mouth as my 18-year-old headed off alone for an unexpected two weeks of work experience in Abu Dhabi (an incredible opportunity for him)

And on Friday less than a week since he returned, we moved him into his university halls to begin the next chapter of his life.

I’m still processing all of it.

There’s something so strange about spending 18 years keeping someone safe, guiding them and being the person they turn to, then realising that the whole journey has been leading to this moment. The moment when it’s time for them to take the reins.

We’ve already realised he’s missing a few things, and I keep finding myself Googling where he can buy them and wanting to send him all the information. I know he is absolutely capable of working it out for himself, but the instinct to help is so deeply ingrained. You don’t suddenly stop being Mum just because they’ve moved out.

I suppose this is a moment to celebrate too.

We’ve done our job. We’ve raised a wonderful, talented, empathetic and kind young man. We’ve given him roots, and now it’s time to trust the wings we’ve helped him grow.

I know this is the natural next step. I know he’s ready for it.

I’m just not sure my heart is quite there yet.

Oooof, it cuts deep. 💔

Anyone else feeling this right now?

The Huddle is BACK...

You probably already know exactly what needs doing.

The email you keep meaning to send.
The content you haven’t created.
The offer you need to finish.
The admin that’s been hanging around for weeks.
The project you keep saying you’ll get to “next week”.

The problem isn’t that you’re not capable.

You’re carrying too much - and finding uninterrupted time to actually do the important stuff is hard.

That’s why I created The Huddle.

A calm, structured in-person implementation day where you’ll get protected focus time, support, accountability and a clear 90-day plan - so you can finally move those things forward.

📅 Thursday 5 November, 10am to 4pm
📍 Bournemouth
💜 £99 for a limited time

Come with the things you’ve been putting off. Leave with them actually moving.

The Huddle is action-led. It’s time to get things done.

Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do for your business is stop doing for long enough to think.

One woman who attended my last Open House told me:
“I loved the exercise. It prompted a super productive day afterwards.”

And that is the point of creating space to work ON your business.
Pausing doesn’t mean you’re losing momentum.

It gives you the clarity to direct your time, energy and attention towards the things that are most likely to make a difference.

Instead of bouncing between ten competing priorities, you can make a decision.
Instead of wondering where to begin, you can identify your next step.
Instead of doing more for the sake of feeling busy, you can take purposeful action.

Throughout The Cocoon Open House, I’ll help you step away from the constant noise so you can reflect, plan, ask questions and make clearer decisions about your business.

You’ll leave with ideas and actions you can use whether you decide to join The Cocoon afterwards or not.

We begin on 21 September and it’s completely free to take part.

You don’t necessarily need a more ambitious business plan.
You need a realistic one you can still follow when real life kicks in.

During The Cocoon Open House, you’re invited to join our live Quarterly Planning Party.
This is your opportunity to step out of the day-to-day and decide where you want your business to go over the next 90 days.

Together, we’ll:
♥ Reflect on what has and hasn’t been working
♥ Decide what matters most in the coming quarter
♥ Identify the 5% activities most likely to move your business forward
♥ Map out realistic actions that fit your business and your life

You’ll also have the opportunity to talk things through with other women in business, gathering fresh perspectives, useful ideas and greater accountability.

The aim is not to leave you with an impressive plan that immediately falls apart.
It’s to help you leave with direction, clear priorities and next steps you can realistically take.

As one previous attendee said:
“Loved yesterday’s session on Clarity. It was so helpful to spend time really thinking through where I am now and where I want to be in the next 90 days.”

Come and plan your next 90 days with us.

I don't want you to feel overwhelmed by The Open House week - I want you to come away with clarity and clear next steps.

These are some of the things women have said to me about running their businesses:
“I felt stuck.”
“I'd lost my mojo.”
“I was making it up as I went along.”
“I needed a reset.”
“I needed someone with a torch to show me the way.”

None of them needed someone to come along and tell them they were doing business wrong.

They needed space to step back.
Fresh perspective.
Someone to bounce ideas off.
A place where they didn't have to figure everything out on their own.

And what I find really interesting is the language women use when they describe what changes when they DO have that support:

“I know what to focus on.”
“I make better business decisions.”
“I can get more out of my limited time.”
“It feels a lot lighter.”
“I found my path.”

And one of my favourites...
“I feel like a proper CEO.”

THIS is what good business support should do.

Not make you more dependent on someone else's answers.

Not leave you with another enormous list of everything you should be doing.

Not make you feel s**t about everything you haven't achieved yet.

It should help you trust yourself more.

To step back and see things more clearly. To make decisions. To take action. To learn from what happens and adjust when you need to.

And to know there are people in your corner when business inevitably gets hard.

That's what I want you to experience during The Cocoon Open House from 21-25 September.

You don't need to prove anything before you come in.

Bring your business exactly as it is.

Come and see what having that kind of space and support around you could feel like.

Comment OPEN HOUSE and I'll send you the free registration details. 💛
