This immaculate Clio headed to us in February for a full setup and corner weighting session. A new customer to us that saw us recommended on a group or forum. The customer was happy to make the 2.5 hour trip to us to make sure his Clio was setup properly and left with further advice on tyre pressures to get to the maximum from their springs and hill climbs.

Lovely to receive an email last week stating that the setup is fantastic and that they achieved a 3rd place finish, a trophy in their first event this year💪🏻👌🏻

Porsche 993 Targa in before Christmas to address some MOT advisories and ongoing loose spring on droop issues.

Front dampers fully stripped, spring cups blasted and repainted. New front brake disc back plates. Brake discs cleaned, de-lipped and bells painted back into new factory colour.

Ride heights all re-checked and reset, corner weights checked.

Car was then taken for an MOT on behalf of the customer, passed with flying colours💪🏻👌🏻.

Back on track today with the Trimite C1 with Nigel and Luke Smith. Nice to blow the cobwebs away. Plenty of track time and the mighty C1 hasn't missed a beat🤞🏻

205 GTi rear seat floor section repaired. Another area that can be prone to some corrosion is this area that is hidden by the fuel tank! All cut out, rust converter treated, zinc weld through primer then replacement section welded in. Just needs dressing before painting with Epoxy primer.

We have also started to clean and treat any spots underneath with rust converter. Boot floor and cross member looking solid but long grass where car was sat has caused some surface blisters.

RH front jacking point repair panel now completed. After quite a bit of forming, tweaking and reshaping some of the damaged original panel edge we now have a nice jacket point to appreciate🤩

We do have a repair panel for LH side but will make a call on that one as that side isn't too bad, likely we will replace anyway so all like new! 💥

Inside and back of panel all painted in zinc weld through primer. All ground back neatly and now painted with epoxy primer. Eventually it shall be stone guarded and cavity waxed, that will come a bit further down the line.

On to the next repair!

Replacing 205 GTi front jacking points, back to how it looked the day it came out of the factory! Some nice debris hiding inside.

The annoying moment when you find out the "used" donor rear quarter is from a normal 205, not a GTi🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Starting to bring the 205 GTi rear sill/quarter back to life😎.

Fabricated new inner sill skins and channel section. Temporarily tacked in place as we do a dry run of all sections prior to final welding. Arch repair and rear quarter to tack on next. All rot cut back cleaned and treated with rust converter.

RH rear outer sill, rear quarter and inner rear quarter panel repairs are underway. Thick underseal on these Peugeots really helps with longevity but also hides internal rot. We found the inner sill cavity full of debris.

Peugeot 205 GTi restoration took a big step this week after two days of stripping!

Now sat on its rotisserie and repair panels already ordered ready to make A1 before we consider any paintwork.
